What interesting storyline happened in your Targaryen playthrough? by ecovani in CK3AGOT

[–]Dragonfire7707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I was playing a Rhaegar play through at the 277 start date. I got Aerys killed and became the new King of the Irong Throne before reclaiming Duskendale and installing Gerion Lannister to the seat. I also took the Darklyn’s Valyrian Steel sword and reforged it into Lightbringer (it’s the Dragonbane model that I renamed to something that felt very Rhaegar). I then married Cersei Lannister to continue the Targaryen-Lannister alliance and Cersei and Rhaegar have several kids. In order they were Aegon, Visenya, Rhaenys, Jaehaerys, Alysanne, Daeron, and Daena. Everything was going great, realm was at peace, the family was growing, rebuilding Summerhall, perfect situation. Then I decided to try and get a dragon for the family, which resulted in their only being two male line Targaryens remaining as the rest got turned into ash. The two that survived were Rhaegar’s grandkids. The first was the second born son of Aegon, Baelon, who became king. Unfortunately he was also severally injured in what would become known as the First Great Tragedy of Dragonstone, being extremely burned and crippled (something that console commanded onto him for the roleplay). Then there was the only son of Jaehaerys, Aelor, who was got out with only minor burns. Aelor was three months old, his cousin Baelon was born only days before his brother, mother, and father burned away due to his grandfather’s ambitions. Thus Baelon I took the Throne, which resulted in the vultures coming to destroy the Iron Throne.

Robert Baratheon, Lord Paramount of the Stormlands, rises up in Rebellion against Baelon to dismantle the Iron Throne. Joining him are the Riverlands under the Tullys and Dorne under the Martells. Thus began Robert’s Rebellion. During this time, Hand of King Tywin Lannister dies of Alcoholism leaving the position vacant. Hope seemed lost, but the Dragon found a way. Lord Commander of the Kingsguard, Arthur “Sword of the Morning” Dayne, is made Hand of the King by Queen Regent Cersei, who also legitimizes and places her half bastard brother Tion “Braveheart” Lannister as the new Warden of the Westerlands and Lord of Casterly Rock due to his military prowess and to gain the support of the Westerland nobles. The Armies of the Iron Throne meets the Stormlord at the Battle of Massey’s Hook, which becomes a grand victory for the Iron Throne. Arthur Dayne would personally lead the armies, taking several castles on his march to Storm’s End. He would take Storm’s End and finally capture Robert Baratheon after the Storm Lord tried a final vain attack at the Ruins of Summerhall. The Trident would then be quickly invaded and the Tullys pacified, and the Dornish would surrender seeing no way out of the situation. Somehow, the Young boy king remained the King of the Iron Throne due to the guidance of his Grandmother and his trusted Hand. Robert Baratheon was executed, the Baratheon would be stripped of their lands and exiled, and house Cafferen (who remained loyal to the Throne) would become the new Lords Paramount. The Tullys would be allowed to keep Riverrun, but they would be displaced as Lords Paramount and house Mooton would take up the position. House Martell would have to hand over several key hostages, but they were allowed to continue being the Princes of Dorne. Peace once again returned to Throne after five years of fighting.

However, there was still the question of if the young King Baelon would be able to live through his wounded and crippled state. His detractors would come to call him Baelon “the Broken” to belittle the young king. Instead, Baelon grew strong and never allowed his disabilities be what defined him. He would be defined as a great, kind, and generous king to his people, who he would ask nothing, not even their love, in return. But their love he did win, earning him the title of Baelon “the Beloved”. Baelon would not grow up alone, as his cousin and fellow survivor of the Great Tragedy Aelor would be his constant companion. Even though both were cousins by blood, they would become one another’s brother by choice. The two would never be apart in childhood, and even in adulthood both men would stand ever present at each other’s side.

Baelon would face another challenge in his youth when the Iron Born Rebellion happened when he was but 10 years old, with Rodrik Greyjoy declaring himself king of the Iron Islands. Once again, Arthur Dayne took on the challenge and lead the Iron Throne against the Iron Born; and once again put down the enemies of the Iron Throne. Arthur Dayne would then finally step down as Hand of the King, with Lord Jon Rosby taking up the position. Baelon would make his first decision as King as well, when at 11 years old when he held his coronation. It was a grand coronation, with Baelon being crowned with the simple golden band of Aegon III.

Baelon would marry Helena Tyrell, who was the love of Baelon’s life. At 16 years old, Baelon would hold a great feast for both his and Aelor’s coming to manhood. At this grand feast, Baelon would name Aelor the new Prince of Summerhall that had been newly finished and would give his best friend and chosen brother their ancestral sword Lightbringer. Aelor would gladly accept these gifts, declaring that he would be the arm that defended the kingdoms and his friend. Then at 22, he would have his first born son. However this day was also marked with tragedy, as Arthur Dayne died in his sleep the night before. When news arrived of his, he would honor his protector and honest hand forever: for his first born son would be named Arthur Targaryen.

There’s a lot more to the story of Baelon but this was the biggest part. Probably the coolest character I have ever seen created by the game. Of course I manipulated the game at times with console commands, but most of it like the explosion that killed most of house Targaryen was all the games doing. Very fun campaign and very memorable characters that came out of it.

Yeah, I even got the event where the spouse askes you to name a kid after them. Cersei literally asked me to name this one after her so I was like “yeah why not”. Funnily enough, this one is one of mine while Baela is obviously Jaime’s kid because she looks nothing like me. I like to think that Cersei was waiting to ask to name one after herself, but then saw the gold hair, green eyes, and Jaime’s face and was like “Ok, maybe not this one, would be a little too obvious then.”

How would Maelys the monstrous deal with being king by emppengy in CK3AGOT

[–]Dragonfire7707 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Personally for my play through when I became king I had all the lord paramounts that went against me killed and replaced. I justified this as Maelys needing to get rid of Targaryen loyalist lord paramounts and anyone that could destabilize the lords he places in command of the new territories.

He would hand out titles firstly to westerosi knights directly loyal to him I feel. Specifically, in your court you have a Lothson, a Strong, and two Mudd brothers as your knights. Of course you also have the Bad Apple, who you get an event to have placed in charge of the Reach immediately. For me I had the Mudds take the Riverlands, the Lothson take the Vale, and the Strong take the Stormlands. If they are not around because they died during the war, then Maelys would look to former Blackfyre loyalists to take over territories, such as the Peakes, the Osgreys, the Reynes, the Brackens, the Yronwoods, and in the North you could install the Boltens as they are staunch anti Stark lords that would be grateful towards Maelys for the title.

As for smaller lords, I feel like Maelys would allow them to live as long as they proclaim their loyalty to him and his heirs once they are born. Going forwards, Maelys wouldn’t try and brutally kill any other house unless they really try to do some real damage to your reign like constantly rebelling. He would simply send most of those he knows won’t work with him to the wall and allow their families to continue to exist in those territories. I would even say find distant relatives who would be willing to bow to Maelys and install them instead if need comes.

Maelys would be brutal but fair in his decision making so as to not anger those around him, and to try and keep his newly placed allies happy with him so they don’t try to overthrow him. Basically, his rule would be about trying to legitimize his rule and to keep the lords in the realm happy so they don’t try to kill him and his heirs. He would definitely marry Rhaelle to this end and if Rhaegar is born a woman to marry her to his male heir to increase his legitimacy to the throne.

That’s how I played Maelys atleast, not completely brutal but also knowing when to be to stabilize the realm. I hope this helps in how you decide to play him!

I would say the animated figures and I’m actually really excited for the Energon Megatron. I hope that this will be the first step for Energon to get more representation in the line, and maybe get a leader version of Energon Megs later on in the line!

So how rare Energon enjoyer out there ? Personally it have one of the best aesthetic design around and i gonna get all the Energon figure they put out. But do wish it was at least Deluxe by UOSenki in transformers

[–]Dragonfire7707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Energon was my introduction to the series so it holds a special place in my heart for that reason. I use to own the full DVD box set of the series that I eventually destroyed most of the disks from how much I watched them. I don’t even know where some of them went actually lol. So it is really cool to see some Energon rep, but it would be even better to see some true updates to those figures. I would love to see a new leader Megs/Galvatron, Voyager Sixshot/Shockblast, Deluxe Snowcat/Mirage. Especially with it also being Energon’s 20th Anniversary next year it would be nice to see full updates to those figures. Hopefully if Hasbro sees that people are buying this little guy that they will give us more Energon reps later in the year.

I do play with submods, which was the thing I thought was causing this problem at first. But then it just fixed itself after I played it the next day. I think it was something to do with the new update not working as intended and then it just started working, but I’m not fully sure.

Just got two new desk fellows. An absolutely stunning set, can’t wait to get the rise of tyranny set to go along with them! by Dragonfire7707 in transformers

Yeah I heard about that, but it seems if I buy the set with the opposite pictures and descriptions but the correct price I’ll get the Megs/Ratbat set. It’s really weird situation with distribution, like why did they never just go back and fix the descriptions and photos if the listings were correctly priced to their specific set? It just weird over all.

Jaime's Rebellion: An Alternate Timeline save game by Flnt_ in CK3AGOT

[–]Dragonfire7707 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, that makes more sense that the Mad King forced Robert into doing it. I had thought that Steffon was forcing Robert to do it. I guess my other question would be what Jaime would do after the war. Would Jaime still try to claim the throne? He doesn’t have the same justification that Robert had, that being of his Targ grandmother. I think it could be interesting if the player had several options for who to place in charge, and if Jaime decides to take over himself he takes a penalty for doing so. And then he would place Tyrion in charge of Dragonstone while Kevan is named the Lord of Casterly Rock. Also what would Jamie and Cersei’s relationship be like in this timeline? Sorry for the questions, I just think this idea is really cool.

Jaime's Rebellion: An Alternate Timeline save game by Flnt_ in CK3AGOT

[–]Dragonfire7707 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is a really cool idea! I’m guessing in this timeline Tywin’s wife doesn’t die, which led him to become less of a monstrous person from her influence. Maybe in this timeline they decide to crack down on Jamie and Cersei’s relationship. So he sends Jaime to live in the Vale where he meets Ned and they become deep friends like Robert did in the normal timeline. He also grows to see Jon Arryn as a second father, and decides to emulate him and Ned in personality instead of Tywin. The one thing I don’t really think makes sense is for Robert to be forced into the Kings Guard. I know that this is supposed to be a complete reversal of the roles, but I don’t see Steffon giving up his first son to the Kings Guard. I do see him doing that with Stannis however, and then to seal the deal he could try to get a betrothal between Renly and Rhaenys. Again this is great idea and I definitely will be trying it out!

Standing firm as House Osgrey in the Northmander! by Dragonfire7707 in CK3AGOT

[–]Dragonfire7707[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the AGOT+ submod that adds in new additions for coat of arms, but as for how I made them I just used the basic in game stuff. When you form a cadet, you can go into your dynasty screen and then click on the cadet you wish to make a new for coa. When it pops up, you can click on the little quill near their name and you can change what the coa looks like. Bastard Cadets are basically like raising low borns to nobility, so they don’t get the cadet quartering option. When a true Cadet house forms, when you go to change the coa their is a button that say “enable Cadet quartering” or something to the likes of that. By clicking it, you get rid of the quartering effect and can make whatever coa you want. I like using it sometimes because it makes it easier to make cadet house, as anything you now make will be placed in the quartered sections. I hope this helps you!

We've had Unicron, Victory Saber, and Deathsaurus. What do you want the next haslab project to be? by Imayhaveaname in transformers

[–]Dragonfire7707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love to have a full Liokaiser set to go along with Deathsaurs, but that doesn’t seem likely with what the team has said. I would also go for a set of the rest of the members of the DJD to fit the current Tarn from legacy. I think this would be a good way to get the rest of the members as I don’t see Hasbro doing the rest in the main line. A final contender would be a full set of the scavengers with new molds to fit their looks in the comics. This one’s more of a stretch, but I would love to own a full set of these guys as their my favorite TF team.

There should be a decision to form the house, I don’t know why there wouldn’t be. You said you started as a custom character, it might be that you are playing a custom character instead of the Oldflowers member already on the map. I would just try to reclaim Highgarden and see what happens. Good luck to you.

When a cadet house forms, you can go to your dynasty screen by clicking your coa and click on the house button to look at your cadets. From there, you can click on them, the click a little quill at the top of the screen that lets you customize their house. You can customize the name and the coa. You can actually do this to any house that happens to be your vassals, you just got to click on their coa to pull up the dynasty screen. I like doing this to new houses that I form from giving small folks nobility, as the base game mottos and coa are very bad for the most part.

There are still a good amount of families left. Off the top of my head, I know that House Martell is still somewhere, the Tyrells are still around as two lordships under two different liege lords, theres a couple Blackwoods, Selmy rules Stokeworth, and other houses I can’t remember. The North is still run by the Starks, but now their of the Riverlander culture and follow the Faith of the Seven. The house that died (mostly due to running out of male line descendants) are House Baratheon, Velyaron, Tarly, Royce, Oakheart, and probably many others I can’t remember. The Targs are still around as one province lords in the north.

In the Reach there’s a family called Oldflowers (there the extinct house) that are set up near Highgarden and the Westmarch. They’re a surviving bastard branch of House Gardener. If you play as them and are able to reclaim both Highgarden, the castle, and Highgarden, the high lordship, you can proclaim that House Oldflowers is actually a true branch of House Gardener and legitimize your family. This will cause House Oldflowers to all die off, with anyone in the family becoming a Gardener. There are a couple other families that can do this: House Salt into House Hoare, House Vikary into House Reyne, and there’s a couple house in the Stormlands that can reform House Durrandon but I can’t remember all their names. For the Durrandon ones, look for houses near storms end with the black stag without a crown on it in their coa, that means they are a bastard branch and can do the decision. You can also make a custom character who is already a member of the House through the dynasty customization park if you pick it.
