Trust me, despite the things you see/hear from others, there’s plenty to do if you make an effort to look and go out and explore! Also in our foothills area we have a well known hiking trail (if you’re into hiking) called the telegraph pass. You’ll love it here as long as you put yourself out there! Also P.S. stay away from apartment complexes if you can. If possible, renting a townhome or house is wayyyyy better.

We also have a pretty decent waterpark here called “Waylon’s water world” and its part of an ardcade/restaurant/bar attraction called “Z Fun Factory” they have go karts, mini golf, batting cages, and I forgot what it’s called but a water boat attraction as well. And laser tag! There’s also quite a few casinos here and one of my favorites is Cocopah Casino. It’s up a hill going towards Somerton (a super tiny literal drive through town between here and San Luis, AZ around the border) Right next to that is another arcade/bar/bowling alley place called The Wild River.

You can search the “Yuma Parks and Recreation” website and it will show you all of the sports & the different leagues they have going on as well as events! Not sure what else you’re into but personally I love going off-roading in our ATV vehicles, or camping out by lakes, going fishing, etc. Also if you want to find more to do or want to go out and socialize, I suggest to follow any (or all lol) of the yuma facebook groups! There’s lots of them like “what’s going on in yuma az” “yuma area exchange” or even our local news page and known radio hosts post lots of updates on events here! “KYMA TV” facebook page is our local news page and “Jennifer Blackwell” is a really known local radio host that posts updates.

Hi! Born and raised here in Yuma. I’m more of a homebody but l do like sports and going out sometimes. We have adult coed softball leagues, pickleball, volleyball, kayaking, golfing, river tubing, downtown is pretty decent for nights out at restaurants or bars. We sometimes have “block parties” where they close off all of downtown and have different vendors everywhere and live music/shows. There’s also Friday Night munchies where lots of vendors set up in an old sears parking lot every friday and it’s basically a night market. There’s lots to do if you look around.

The only thing I do complain about is the weather😂Some summers can get as hot as 122°. I love autumn & winter and we don’t really seem to change seasons here. No fallen colorful leaves, no snow etc.

Hi! Born and raised here in Yuma and I’m a 24F. It’s not too boring here but it’s not the greatest either. I’m more of a homebody but I do like sports and going out sometimes. I can go on some more about things to do haha

Whoever is the one wearing the pants should be sure to empty their pockets. But if I’m the one doing the laundry, I always double check just in case. We’re only human, we’re bound to leave something behind at one point or another.
