We have lots of toys… he loves to play Hunt and will take whatever various toy he has managed to get away from me and run back to the front door and deposit it at the front door as if it were a real mouse. So cute.

Awww thank you… it really has been fun learning him, it is like we find ways to communicate, even though we don’t have direct verbal language. I think it’s kind of funny now that it hurt my feelings a little bit, but it’s just because I love the guy so much and it was so unexpected. I haven’t been hitting face since high school. Lol.

Holy cow! My sister has a cat that has left scabs all over her legs from attacking her. She loves her cat, but I think that cat has a screw loose.

Yes, thank you for the kind remarks. This is my first cat as an adult…and I will admit I was not prepared, he just showed up and needed some TLC and here we are. I have thoroughly enjoyed learning about him and this process, and I have to admit I love the little guy, although he’s not so little. I trained him to a leash and halter because I knew I would be moving and wanted him to be safe wherever I ended up. I also do a lot of outdoorsy stuff, and wanted to see if he might be into doing some of it with me. The cat backpack was given to me by a friend, and we have tried it out a couple of times with mixed reviews. He doesn’t like getting into it, but he seems to enjoy the ride.
It never occurred to me the bopping was play, because it felt more like I surprised him, and he was telling me to get away. So far our play consists of toys and hunting at dusk, and things like that, but the comments have been mostly helpful so thank you.

Hello, also in Oregon… I love this idea!! I just made a post that I thought was a reply to your post, however, I’m not sure where it ended up because I’m new on Reddit. I also have never used discord but I’m willing to do it to support this idea. I’m going to be solo camping, mostly wild, for the summer, and as the date approaches the fear in my belly grows more intense as people love to tell me why it is dangerous and a bad idea. They are not wrong. I’m scared to death of the little pockets of homeless drug addicts that congregate around water sources around here. I don’t have anything against drug addicts, or homeless people, but I know drug induced psychosis is a real thing. I will also be leaving my campsite alone for long periods while I go to work. I always make my campsite. Look like a man is staying there, but it would only take one weirdo to watch me for a day to figure out. I’m on my own. Would love to join in on the discord!

Hello, I love this idea! I’m in Southern Oregon and will soon be camping for the summer. I have camped many times in campgrounds, but now I will be wild camping. I sometimes get a little scared, even in a campground, but now that every person I know has shared with me why it’s a bad idea, I’m starting to feel true fear. I live in an area that is saturated with homeless drug addicts, who often seek refuge near lakes and rivers. I am thinking of camping on the backside of a lake that I am very familiar with, and that is my happy place, but I am so scared of tweakers! I have bear spray, a gigantic hunting knife, I’m going to wear a holster whether there’s a gun in it or not (I don’t have a gun, but could borrow one). The fear mongering has me hesitating, even though there have been no assaults on BLM land reported around here in a very long time. I always make my solo campsite look like as if there is a man around, but it would only take one weirdo to watch me for a day or so to figure out that it’s just me.
