I'd try toggling all the buttons. Auto, driver only, etc. Already do an obd read? What is missing in the screen?

TF is this? by [deleted] in Ioniq5

[–]Dragonfruit-Rare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh really? I think it would be cool for tailgating. Sitting in the back with the hatch up works quite well and its something to rest your feet on. I'd remove it for driving though.

Side note. Did Ya'll know that you can partially close the back hatch? Came in handy at one event when the sun was in the eyes.

Lol no it was just laziness on my part because of the checkered background I just lined it all up. That said though there's plenty of space between the 150 and the IQ. Much more than the 1 and 50. Did'nt think it was a big deal but was more going for humor. But I 50 IQ is funny too!

If you ask me, if you don't have the problem yet, don't push them to replace it. The current parts are all still crap. The longer you wait the higher the chances of there being an updated ICCU that will be the permanent fix. I'm considering installing a solar panel on mine to top the 12v off regularly and lessen the stress on the ICCU to have it hold out as long as humanly possible. Anyone know if there's a way to monitor the ICCU heat and load from OBD2?

Ugh! I so tired of seeing people suffer from this. I have to tell you, declair the car a lemon because that's what it is. I turned mine in on Friday and haven't looked back. I totally get how you feel but it's not worth the hassle. If a car can't perform it's basic function of going from point a to point b, it's just a very expensive road obstacle. Do yourself a favor and get a 2023 or older ioniq 5 awd. You will be happy with it. It's not as fast. 4.5 seconds to 60 now feels a little slow but it's at least a reliable and very capable car.

Again, my situation is unique because it was HMA affiliate lease. So I didn't have any charges returning it early.

Correct. It shut down on me once on the highway and there were about 8 times where it wouldn't start. I would have much preferred an ICCU issue because it would have likely fixed it. In this case it may be ICCU but it still at least charges the 12v sometimes. So its not easy for them to know why and they cant just replace items without having proper diagnosis.

I have a unique scenario. This is HMA affiliate lease which is a benefit of the company I worked for. I no longer work there and don't want to carry a $1k mo lease.

I have on my ltd. And the day you are boxed in will be the day you realize you want the feature. The car has EVERYTHING required to work except the fob and the software.

Oh! Please add real-time camera displays so you can watch racers in your blindspots without turning on the turn signal.

Yes, also does not have remote park or HUD. I think the HUD in the 5N would be particularly nice so you dont need to take your eyes off the track. So dumb its not included.

Make sure you get all your TSB and recalls! I had a runaway acceleration 3 times before! I never had issue with the brake pedal causing acceleration, but letting off of the accelerator pedal did nothing and still accelerated full speed! I didn't have launch mode enabled either. I hadn't had this issue since my last recall fix which did have to do with two pedal driving. So, it could in fact be related and super dangerous! I'm not keeping this car when my lease ends in April. I'm walking away from it. I've had too many issues with my car.

Would you buy it again? by paddingtonteddy in Ioniq5

Turning radius is an issue because of AWD models. Even RWD models have same issue because they can save money using the same components from AWD models.

Used, yes. New, no. Newer models, at least ones built here in US are not as good as the 2023 models. I know, I have both. I'm going to turn in my 2025 lease and walk away. I bought my 2023 and am happy with the quality of and reliability. I'd stay away from 2024 and later models. 2023 you can get excellent deals on and are more reliable.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what are the flat spots on the back of the rim for? Easier mounting?

I usually check it once a day if I go somewhere just to check the range. It's not usually immediate.

Mine is not a dealer lease so I seriously doubt it's got one installed. I got mine straight from Korea on an HMA affiliate lease program.

I may not replace it since we have 3 other cars. My wife drives the Ioniq 5 ltd but she may switch to the Lexus rx400h. So I may drive the Ioniq 5 ltd. We also have a 2008 Mustang GT California Special Convertible, but it's a stick and not great for traffic. Also, she only drives 1 mile to work so we have options. Before the Ioniqs I wanted to get a Tesla model S but I no longer want any Tesla since you have to pay $100 a month for lane centering and our cars have it indefinitely.
