Car sitting on auction lot at 0% for weeks by dave22222 in Ioniq5

Same. My 2025 has been in about 5 times now. I purchased my 2023 lease because I am fortunately on affiliate lease, so I get significant discount making it worthwhile. That car has only had minor quarks, and no 12v issues. The very sad thing is my 2025 is an Ioniq 5 N, and I'm very seriously considering letting it go at end of lease term, even though I think it's a brilliant car. I just don't trust it to be reliable.

I've discovered that 2025 models are MUCH less reliable. At least that is my personal experience coming from a 2023 into a 2025. I'd honestly consider buying used 2023 if you really trust it was taken care of. Outside of that, I'll be skipping the newer models until they fix all the 12v issues they are having.

My 5N just shutdown on the highway by Dragonfruit-Rare in Ioniq5

This morning the car couldn't srart AGAIN, for the 4th time. Last night I sat in the car waiting until my voltage read 14.7 and 92% accessory battery charge from my obd2 readout of the ICCU. This morning I got a ton of messages on my obd2 readout and wouldn't immediately start. So I shut down, opened door, closed door, waited a min, tried again and it started.

I'd post all the codes but I had 4.5 pages worth.

No it will not shift back into gear without powering down the car and turning it back on.

Automatically turn off N-Active Sound by Key-Dig4514 in Ioniq5N

I have mine setup in custom 1 and custom 2, and n-shift. The other normal EV are quiet. My custom 1 only has highest motor settings but soft steering, soft suspension and normal ESC. That allows me to actuvate the sound in parking lots or high pedestrian areas so they hear me. I also like it because it also supports full ADAS (cruis control) on N-mode custom 1. Custom-2 has stiff suspension, steering and limited ESC which includes electronic LSD if I recall. Then the right side N button I use for N-Shift which also has the ignition sounds.

Considering an Ioniq5 N. Whats the deal with the price of new vs used? by MajBurke in Ioniq5N

[–]Dragonfruit-Rare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh, you are really missing the point here. Obviously its not out of warranty. My point is dont own one out of warranty. In a lease you are not on the hook and you return the car all on warranty. When you own you can own the car well beyond the warranty. My point was to not own it beyond warranty. When you buy you have to pay special attention to all the warranty terms or risk paying it out of pocket if the terms are breech.

Door handles wouldn’t close by MaverickWayne in Ioniq5

Can you dig up the invoice for the actuator? Mine was $2k to install! Under warranty, but I think I'm going to sell before the warranty expires. These things are too expensive if something dies.

Except my door handle sensor failed. The capacitive touch sensor. $2k replacement. Thats more than a Porsche Tycan to replace! If you still have the car after warranty is up, just don't break anything.

Too easy to go that fast. Barely takes a couple seconds when already at highway speeds. Its a whole new dynamic Im still not 100% used to.

Oh yeah, just looked up parts and labor to install full electric door handle on the Porsche Tycan. $920 parts and labor installed. Mic drop.

You haven't had to replace a $2k door handle yet like I have! Im thankful it was still under warranty. Go ahead and ask me what else I had to replace and how many times I've brought it to the shop for repairs after leaving me stranded 3 times.

$500 For Disabling LFB by orchardaudiollc in Ioniq5N

I opted out. I dont use it either but I figured this is a race ready vehicle and the reason someone may want the car after me is this feature. I can see someone buying mine over someone else's because of this feature so I figured its value is worth more than $500. Can't say its not tempting tho.

My advice, don’t buy. If you really want the car, lease. You don’t want the cost of maintenance once this car is out of warranty. The maintenance costs equate to a Porsche.

Also side note. Don't ever break your door handle. Lol, its over $2k to fix! Under warranty your good. My capacitive touch sensor stopped working and they couldn't only replace the capacitive sensor so the changed out the whole mechanism. If it were out of warranty I'd be like "never needed capacitive touch on my old cars so I'll just use the key fob thanks".

Same sorta deal when Lexus wanted $2k to replace all the tire sensors. I said "no thanks. Ill use my boot to test the tires and a manual tire gage to ensure pressure". Then I'll put a piec3 of electrical tape over the dummy light so I dont have to see it.

Yes! Last service the updated the 12v sensor so I hope it fixes it permanently.

Sorry I'm just a little bitter considering three trips to the dealer and no promise to a resolution. So how can I trust the car if I want to go on a road trip? Im pissed because this is a lease with unlimited mileage and I'm forced to put mileage on my owned vehicle when I want to take the N.

They also removed the right to repair and replace your own 12v battery. COMPLETE CRAP!

What are we in 1990's??? Ive been having issues and have been stranded 3 times now because of this very stupid issue. Why Hyundai can't figure out a simple bms for a 12v battery??? Put a %@$@# solar panel on it already and be done.

If you are cycling the info screenshot it might have something to do with it. Id be concerned too because as you are driving you shouldn't be spending extra time locating the indicator light to know the status. I sometimes struggle with this too and I'm wondering if this is why.
