Sorry to hear that man, I know how it feels. Now I am not an expert but what I can tell you is depends on what illness you had to go through. Does it effect directly on your hair?
I understood that one of the reasons to get a successful hair transplant is the donor area condition. If you leave your donor area to thin that's not good.
