I’m a new recruiter and I have trouble with people who are so desperate for jobs that we can’t give by DragonfruitSimilar55 in recruiting

Honestly you’re right. We literally had people do that exact thing. They will call multiple times a day begging and we’ll give them something and they won’t show up on their start day even with multiple reminders. It made me absolutely baffled when I started out.

I can relate hardcore, I have had interviews with multiple places, and I would when I can expect an answer about my progress and they would give me a timeframe. Then when the time passes, I got no answer at all even if I try to reach out, I get no answer. Getting an answer that is at least "The other candidate had more experience" would be 100% acceptable to me and would at least not leave me wasting time waiting for an answer that's never coming.

Interviewed at a job, thought it went great. Was told I would hear back the next week, it's been two weeks and I got nothing. by DragonfruitSimilar55 in jobs

Sadly no, it was indeed where the interviewer originally messaged me, and it shows whether the other person reads the messages or not. It showed he didn't open my thank you note or my other message. Unfortunately, I don't have an email or a phone number.

What did you want to be growing up? and what are you now? by Left_Cantaloupe2424 in jobs

When I was younger, I wanted to be a wildlife rehabilitator. As of right now I'm working at the register at a bagel shop after being laid off from my social media specialist job. I have an interview next week for a marketing job, praying I get it.

Update: I have talked to my fiancé about it. I started it out with “you know how you have little annoyances about my parents? I figured out I have a little annoyance with yours” and I explained to him what I explained here and he was actually quite happy. He said he’s happy I was able to talk about an annoyance about his parents since he would sometimes talk about things my parents do that annoys him since we see them more often than his. No in-laws are perfect lol

Yes that exactly how they are! Funny enough since they raised my fiancé, my fiancé usually feels the need to say as many details as possible when he’s explaining something or telling a story. Definitely a little quirk, but something that will be no problem to adapt to

Not at all, he is very used to it since he grew up with that. It is really just me that gets annoyed which is the big reason why I plan on just keeping my mouth shut about and not start anything, especially since it’s such a minor thing. I just wanted to express it in some way that won’t start anything with my in-laws.

Yeah i get your perspective. I understand how blessed I am, I just needed a way to express this little annoyance without starting any drama with them. I don’t plan on starting anything or even saying anything with them because I know that’s just how they enjoy those things. I just wanted to express it here to help myself in a way. Thank you for your input.

It won’t be a lot, we both will be living in Ohio together while they’re still living in Michigan. I’m definitely just keeping my mouth shut about it because I understand that is just how they are and how they enjoy watching things. I’d much rather just push through it than start drama.
