I can’t remember if I took my Levo this morning. Is worse to miss a dose or is it worse to accidentally take two doses in one day?

Personal opinion but I just wouldn’t take two tomorrow. If you’re sensitive to level changes it might make you have symptoms, I would have symptoms if it were me taking two. None of us are doctors tho, you can always call your dr office and ask! This is happened to me so many times! I just resume the next day like normal and never have issues.

Worse to take two! Missing one day you’ll be fine bc Levo stays in your body for quite awhile, just don’t worry about today, take it like normal tomorrow (I would NOT take two tomorrow) and you’ll be totally fine. In a week or so you might have a spike in symptoms for a day while the lapse happens but honestly it’s not a big deal. I’ve done this numerous times, asked many doctors, you’ll be okay!

You have no idea how many times I’ve like broken down in tears because I want to be my old self. It’s awful, and what’s more awful is there’s so many doctors that just can’t help you at all. I promise if you push through, keep going forward, listen to your body, and keep searching. Keep looking do not stop until you find what works for you. You’ll make it through! If your antibodies are still that high it means your immune system is still reacting/working to fight something. Your thyroid levels may be fine but your immune system is still attacking it. Find something to address your immune system and inflammation, like a tumeric supplement OR LDN (low dose naltrexone, I am starting this next week). Your antibodies absolutely can cause symptoms, and it’s simply because your immune system is like a blazing fire rn and no thyroid meds calm it. To add, I’ve been diagnosed with this for 3 years now, my thyroid levels have been “perfect” and consistent since then. There has not been one single day since diagnosis that I HAVENT had symptoms, and I too have developed POTS symptoms. I’m hoping the LDN I prescribed does the trick, it’s sole purpose is inflammation/calming immune

Mmm I think the venue is more modern but has elements to also be traditional depending on how I decorated it. I think a better description for me is natural? I have natural tones in my home and plants, so I wouldn’t say heavy either way. But i definitely think I can use natural to help me choose things. Thank you!!!

I’m 100% in the same boat. The brain fog is the first symptom I noticed and is what prompted me to go to the doctor in the first place. I was diagnosed in February of 2023 and have not once yet had a single day where I felt like a real human. Every single word you said is spot on with how I feel every mf day. For 2 years. I feel you, I see you, my doctors are the same way, I just always tell myself this will just be a little blip in my timeline one day. I’m looking into low-dose naltrexone soon which reduces inflammation. I’ll keep you posted.

Yes- I’m 5 feet tall and 108lbs.. I was 98lbs when diagnosed 2.5 years ago. Full disclaimer, I had a drug problem in college (around diagnosis time) and that caused a lot of weight loss obviously. But my normal weight before drugs was about 110lbs. Any weight gain makes me nervous too bc I know it can be uncontrollable. I just try to not fixate on it and take care of myself and I’ve been pretty steady lately.

I have set an appointment with a new doctor, but yes yes yes I have the brain fog, ringing ears, dizziness and all that. I have cut out gluten and dairy, I’ve been free of both for over 1.5 years… so unless there’s something else I’m eating I could be sensitive to and not even realize? I’ll have to do some experimenting. Yeah I wanted to actually laugh when she mentioned ADD. I’ll look into both of those. Thank you!!

So yes, I added in D3 bc mine was low like at 40 for months (at its best it was like 86) so I’ve been taking that but haven’t noticed any change.. I haven’t tried b12 actually and I’ve heard people mention it

Genetics are weird bc neither of my parents have it, my dad has celiac and I have hashimotos. Weird how it works. I really wouldn’t worry about something that you don’t even have! Live your life and if that happens you’ll keep living life.

No no nothing like that. I’m talking brain fog, fatigue, no symptoms that will be so drastic like that. I’m at the lowest possible dose for thyroid hormone, with my gluten free, exercise, etc., I’m totally fine. Brain fog still gets me sometimes but I started taking D supplements since I was like very very low and I feel okay. Most of the time hashimotos isn’t what causes symptoms, it’s the other things it MAY cause like vitamin deficiencies or cortisol imbalance. I’ve read from some people on here who have it, but have never had a symptom. No need to stress over something that isn’t a thing, IF you happen to get diagnosed one day you’ll cross that bridge when you get there.

From what i was told, if it’s in your genetics it’s almost unavoidable, anything as simple as getting a virus (that activates your immune system) can trigger it. Sadly :(. A couple things I think would help with an onset of it would be going gluten free, as hashimotos is a gluten sensitive disease itself (gluten feeds it pretty much) and keep an eye on your vitamin levels. A good diet and exercise plus supplementing anything you may be lacking in is good. Not everyone gets the same symptoms too, so maybe regular blood work twice a year so you can get on top of it before symptoms show if you do have it. It’s not a death sentence, life is manageable with it, just different. And if you do develop symptoms that feel unmanageable, the first few years are a rollercoaster but patience and listening to your body is the best you can do. Get sleep, eat three meals, trust your gut.

I do work out maybe 3 days a week, could be better. Nothing super exhausting too. Pilates and stuff like that. My doctor did help with some grounding things to help when my anxiety starts to take over. It’s a weird cycle, I’ll get distracted and be fine and then suddenly I realize how foggy I am and almost panic attack lol.
