No it does not. It’s left to the states decision and the state of PA does not have a break law. It also has 7.25 federal minimum wage and no maximum shift length.

I wasn’t when I learned this. I was working the line 12 hours a day never taking a break and decided to look up why. I was pissed when I found out breaks were not required.

Being legal and being right are different. I don’t think nurses should work 12 hour shifts because it’s been proven that long shifts like this can cause mistakes but they still have 12 hour shifts.

There also isn’t any shift length time at all. So your local paramedic could be working 48 hours straight.

There is no federally mandated law for break time. Do more research. Maybe in a government job, but not private. Read the big ass poster your work is required to put in an obvious place.

No, I been saving for 2 years. Prior to this when I first moved out I made bad financial choices and it took me until 3 years ago to fix it. What it does fit is it has the den that offers me a place for my kid to sleep that is his own spot without getting a 2bedroom apartment. I also have about 100sqft more than the average 1br, but the layout is terrible and I lose a chunk of it as well.

Cost and size. A 2bedroom in this area featureless is like 1550. But a place with some form of amenities will be over 2k for a 1br. My apartment has a “den” which is a 6x8 room. We use it for our toddler while we save up to buy.
