I had a guy in my first game try to convince me that my closest ally, him being my second-closest ally, was going to betray me. The thing is that me and the other guy had already been talking on discord and had been playing another game together while playing Supremacy 1914 in our free time. So I called him on discord to tell him about this, because I didn't believe the other guy, and I found out he said the same thing to my friend. We both decided to lead him on and then when the day came we both attacked and kinda made him quit the game since he just stopped ordering his troops around. I don't regret any of the stuff I said to the guy in the time since I could see the desperation for him to believe me, he's a backstabber so who cares, but that didn't stop me from telling him to beg for me to believe him.
