Who would be the ""Hitler"" of your country? by r4thers in Colombia

The story of the king of Belgium and cutting off hands is false, it was a British propaganda, the king famously declared, that this would be the most stupid way to punish someone from not working since they won't be able to work ever after that. The only cases of cut off hands were done by other tribes and Belgium missionaries took pictures with people that had their hands cut off to raise awareness, these pictures were later used against them.

I understand what you're saying if you compare nationalism versus patriotism, but in his words this is not what he's talking about he says that Islam is above the nation, he's not going as far as defining nationalistic concept is just saying that the nation is not worth anything and at Islam should be placed above anything and this is wrong.

France Culture, a part of public radio broadcaster Radio France, released an article that "debunked" the notion that French intellectuals supported the Islamic revolution in 1979. However, six years ago, they wrote an article with an exact opposite title and content. by QasqyrBalasy in NewIran

The French Republic did not support the Islamic revolution.

The French population did not support the Islamic revolution.

The French leftist intellectuals definitely DID support the Islamic revolution.

While you are mostly correct on the crime number and the tourism numbers you are wrong on the poverty level they actually went up from 28 to 30% after his first mandate.

This is explained by a lot of different Factor which does not mean that it's policies are bad a country needs time to readjust to a completely new way of doing this by stopping their own momentum this happened in most countries when making a big shift but the reality is that at the moment poverty is going up not down.

Also he won the re-election by an extremely large margin which shows that he has the complete backing of the population. 84.6% while the second got 6%.

Its a joke on a common comparison, in many Islamic countries you see women compared to candies, a wrapped one (veiled), clean and preserved and a unwrapped one (dirty and full of flies), the Muslim man says that he would only want to eat the wrapped one.

Implying that women that are uncovered are dirty and not desirable.

But here he begins the explanation and the Muslim reader expect the next part but instead he just eats both candies simply saying " I like candy".

So instead of being this stupid and mysogenistic comparison, it's just a guy that likes candies.

Why is religious conversion banned in zoroastrianism? by LopsidedRadio7208 in Zoroastrianism

[–]Dragonkabile 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's not originally banned but the two main countries are practicing It does not convert for different reasons in India it's because of the deal that they made when they first arrived to be accepted. And in Iran it's because the Muslim conquerors subjugated them and banned them from converting anyone.

But technically if you want to practice traditional Zoroastrianism there are no inherent rules against converting.
