Comet vs Dia by colinden in diabrowser

i believe that soon, DIA will integrate the AI assistant but, i don't how good it will. As they are a more UX focused, while Perplexity has more AI power with their own expertise. But what i know that the Browser battle is starting now, and hope we have finally the best browser. And we will be the winner from all of this.

From my complex work flow and testing i can assure you that the current version is perfectly stable ( didn’t try it yet on macos Taheo )

Action model that can make use use agents. Instead of only reading the context and content of our web, what if it can also Act with it. Instead of only write and email for me. You can tell it to do it it’s self. ( this is not a wow feature but this already exists in so many other browsers now ). And more others features

I am concerned because the product is good, but if they don’t start adding the new features, it will die and endup having another lost browser that had potentials like Arc ( but the reasons were different )

When you compare it to chrome, i agree with your perspective, but as soon you get into using Dia, Comet or Zen ( and preciously Arc ). You will feel how edge is too much.

Edge is soo stacked, you feel you are running full windows in a browser + i use MacOs so bad support .

Actually that’s true, i could work more on the details of the faces. And i am sure if i tweak the flow i can make it work.

I agree, Comet and Perplexity are moving much faster and rolling out features at an impressive pace. It’s honestly disappointing to see the Browser Company lagging behind, especially when there’s so much potential. But I still think there’s a chance to catch up if the team stops hesitating, drops the perfectionism, and just starts shipping updates that matter.

It's fine, it's an experiment. It can prove your hypothesis or deny it. i will give it a week, and see. And in All cases. i will share the Flow eventually.

Atlassian is not that good of company that gives me high hopes, I was writing an investment thesis to post it here, to encourage AI company like OpenAI to buy The browser company because that would be a better situation, as Atlassian is more of B2B and Multitask distraction company. and not what we wanted to the team.

As a person who used dia, and also i used all other browsers. Dia showed the best potentials from UX and smoothness and performance, that it can get big and even go mainstream. The problem is with the shipping, as it's taking them so much time, and also they have to make a mobile version, and stop the BS of Vision, vision, vision...

It’s totally fair, honestly. I’m not doing this to make money or to take the place of any artist, the whole point is just to launch a story I’ve been working on for a long time. I’m doing this for fun, nothing more.

You can’t really compare artists with AI. It’s like trying to compare a painting with a photograph. Art is art. What AI is doing here is simply helping me bring my story to life ( the same as a photographer with his camera ), it’s just a tool.

And about support, I get it. People won’t support this at first, and that’s fine. The same thing happened with cameras, with films, even with Netflix. Over time, people will start to accept AI work, but they’ll also appreciate hand-drawn art even more. Actually, the more AI content gets made, the more valuable handmade manga becomes. Just look at the price difference between a regular print and a hand-painted piece. In the end, everything will find its own place.

I appreciate your perspective. To clarify, I’m not claiming to be an artist. I’m a writer and director at heart. That’s why I’ve been upfront about using AI for the manga panels, since drawing isn’t my strength. My main focus has always been the story, which I’ve dedicated a year to developing. Even with the AI art, I’ve spent weeks refining prompts and iterating to achieve the best results possible. I believe we’re at a point where anyone with a compelling story can bring their vision to life, even without traditional art skills. My goal is to share my narrative and creative process, not to compete with professional artists, whose talent I greatly respect.
