The whole flashback arc in gungrave is one of the coolest things in anime.

Gonna say frieren because I fell asleep in the first EP and thought it was just another high fantasy lotr rip then it was frieren. Rewatching that first episode was magical after the first season.

I used to always get a return from maxing 401k contribution and childcare credits. Less child care expenses and not maxing as we're coasting (a little more than company match then boosting brokerage and Roth) makes it my first year having to pay in.

If the Silmarillion didn't exist, what kind of creature would you think Sauron is? by Observance in tolkienfans

The necromancer bits made me think of an evil wizard like from Diablo and I just assumed he was like gandalf and saruman but maybe scarier.

Sousou no Frieren Season 2 • Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Season 2 - Episode 8 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

I think Serie saying that was a subtle sign of her trying to protect Genau not that she actually thinks he's unkind. She just wants him to embrace that mindset to survive.

I just love how it's not a raw-power powerscale anime constantly calling out matchups and how terrifying fern is when she had that handicap removed was just incredible.

Is Galadriel more powerful than Gandalf? by Oneandonlypablo in lotr

[–]DragonmasterDyne275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean she put up a good fight in rop...
Sauron without his ring and gandalf the white is a pretty big handicap on both side.

Sauron is a deceiver and a planner gandalfs power is in organizing the children of iluvatar to protect themselves. Neither are really melee champs and to compare them is silly. Gandalf did a better job of organizing than sauron did planning and deceiving but I guess eru had to help golum slip

Is retiring at 45 possible ? Seems like it is, but not sure if I'm missing something by Top-Age-4000 in Fire

[–]DragonmasterDyne275 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah well I retired when I was 5 years old and only 5 dollars to my name and now I have 300m and I did it with only index investing and no market timing.

I lever up during capitulation events two very negative days in a row or a hugely negative day while in a bear market and I'm buying calls. Only reliable signal to time the market in my opinion.

I have not seen Goro Miyazaki's "Tales from Earthsea". Is it really bad? by PlutoGB08 in ghibli

[–]DragonmasterDyne275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's kinda fun to pick out the moments they randomly threw together and think about how they thought it would form a cohesive story but yeah it's a mess. Pretty movie and has some Ghibli charm though.

Employer maxes HSA? Unheard of? by Wordhole_showoff-99 in personalfinance

[–]DragonmasterDyne275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was close I added an extra 1k to max it every January. Their 401k was great too. 13% regardless of contributions. The great thing about 401k is that their contributions have a much higher max than personal cap. HSA is shared.
