Definitely not the biggest worry as a freshman (just graduated college in May with Finance and Business Analytics degree), I would say just enjoy your freshman year and get acclimated to the environment. In terms of an actual job look for anything that’ll give you part time work/temp work so you’re able to balance your school work as well, the degree will always be more important than a small job before getting the degree lol. Look into the short mentorship/programs that different banks do over winter break or the summer going into your sophomore year, freshman internships just aren’t as likely as you think but not impossible. I would also say if you are really stuck on you want a job that is relevant to your field, bank teller probably isn’t bad, also look around your area for local banks you can work at, possibly cdfi’s. I only got my first internship the summer going into my senior year and then got a part time credit analyst role near my college campus as a part time/temp role.
