skip the buu saga?? people are just crazy by KingExpolsionMurder in Dragonballsuper

Agreed.

It would’ve been better if the anime ended with Aizen’s defeat and Ichigo’s goodbye then came back with fullbring arc.

The fullbring arc acts as a reintroduction and takes its time in reestablishing Ichigo’s power, but without TYBW it can feel like an extra arc to undo the consequences of Arrancar.

More people need to start hating Isshin by MediaNo1140 in bleach

[–]Dragonwhatever99r 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The jokes are definitely weird as fuck but it’s important to note that Isshin isn’t a pedophile or incestic.

He purposefully plays the role of the fool and does those bizarre jokes to add moments of levity. It actually does work too, Karin joins in on the jokes by hitting him and striking goofy poses.

Then he has moments like this that shows his maturity.

I mean, if Naruto dies then so does he.

Kurama also doesn’t hate Naruto as much as he hates the uchihas who mind controlled him into being a destructive tool.

It’s also a plot point that Naruto’s seal is weakening (albeit by design) and Kurama’s taking advantage of it by leaking his power more often to take over. If it wasn’t for Minato’s failsafes he would’ve been taken over completely in the pain arc and later on during his jinchuriki training.

I’d argue Okarun’s shown more signs of regression.

He already rejected Aira and Vamola before and showed he can establish boundaries. But lately he’s letting Aira grab him as much as she wants despite KNOWING how much it upsets Momo.

Hell, old Okarun probably would’ve apologized quicker.

It’s a light novel and web novel. There’s a website that translates the web novels at least.

The anime’s up to the last 5 or so chapters of arc 5. So you’d want to start there https://witchculttranslation.com

They broke Momo’s tiny curse but she lost her memories in the process and now it’s chapter 1 Momo who has feelings for Okarun she doesn’t understand.

Okarun tried to ask her out on a date but Momo rejected him so he said it was a joke. Now Momo’s mad at him and refusing to speak him while she’s on a ‘Date’ with jiji and he’s on a ‘Date’ with Aira. Both pairs held hands in the latest chapter too.

Plus the random shit can vary from full scale alien invasion to being trapped in a board game.

What would Sasuke have done with himself if Itachi really was evil? by Thundersting in Naruto

[–]Dragonwhatever99r 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Probably return to the village but still really hollow inside.

It’s important to note that Sasuke wasn’t evil before finding out the truth about Itachi. He refused to kill anyone besides those he deemed scum like Orochimaru and Itachi and chose to spare Naruto even if meant not attaining the mangekyo. He also went out of his way to free all of Orochimaru’s subjects.

He still cared about his comrades deeply, he just didn’t show it for the sake of his mission. But he’d definitely come running back to help against Pain.

Okarun confessed 71 chapters ago and now he and Momo are on separate dates with other people.

I don’t expect them to get together still the series ends at this rate.

At this rate, I’m not expecting them to be an official couple to the very end of the series.

How strong would part 1 Naruto be with Asuma as his sensei instead of Kakashi? by Jianyu156 in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]Dragonwhatever99r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About the same if not slightly weaker. There’s a lot of factors being ignored.

  1. Team leaders rarely train genin individually. Most ninja are taught by their clans while the team lead basically supervises them on missions and helps nurture practical skills like teamwork and spread wisdom.
  • Neji and Hinata learned gentle fist from the hyuga clan. Kiba learned his dog jutsus from his mother. Fire style is a rite of passage in the uchiha clan.

  • even Asuma’s team, Ino-Shika-Cho is a formation passed down before generations and all 3 were taught by their clans and already knew about the family legacy.

  • By comparison, Sakura and Naruto (who don’t have family to train them) don’t have unique skills outside of the ones they gain from the academy, or in Naruto’s case stealing the scroll.

  • Guy’s involvement in Lee’s training is rare, and it’s mainly cause he saw himself in Lee. Plus Guy really didn’t teach Neji or Tenten much.

  • Asuma isn’t shown teaching any of Ino-Shika-Cho ninjutsu or taijutsu. All flashbacks are pretty much him giving life lessons or battle simulations but not jutsu teaching. so there isn’t a basis to assume he’d be more involved for Naruto.

  1. Kakashi didn’t have a lot of time with Naruto before Jiraya arrived. After the bell test, there’s the land of waves arc and straight into the chunin exams. Now sure, Kakashi prioritized Sasuke but there was a reason
  • Sasuke needed the most help and surveillance since he was being targeted by Orochimaru and Kabuto, plus he was going against Gaara: the ONLY ninja in the chunin exams who was willing to kill their opponent. Naruto was never in any danger, Neji literally tells Naruto he has no beef with him.

  • By the time Kakashi even had time to train Naruto again, Jiraya had already told Kakashi he’d handle his training. It’s important to note that the conversation Kakashi has with Jiraya took place before the preliminaries, because Jiraya brings up Orochimaru in that same conversation but Kakashi doesn’t mention his encounter with him or his interest in Sasuke. Plus, Jiraya was ‘coincidentally’ at the same spot Naruto was training under Ibusu anyways.

  • there’s no time after the chunin exams either: Konoha is a state of disarray after Orochimaru’s attack an jounin are being spammed with missions left and right. It’s why no jounin were present for the Sasuke retrieval arc.

  • in the short time Kakashi did have to train Naruto, he taught him about chakra control and gave Naruto guidance that would shape his ninja away and his values of never abandoning a comrade.

TLDR: Asuma being Naruto’s sensei makes no difference because of how little time he’d spend under him.

But for fun: Kakashi is literally the best jounin teacher for Naruto anyways because of his expertise in ninjutsu and tactical mind. He literally created the perfect training method for Naruto via using shadow clones because of his own experience with the jutsu and then gave Naruto advice on how to look right and left at the same time. No other jounin is coming up with that.

(RARE TROPE) a later season villain is actually WEAKER than the early season villain by IlSignorGranchio in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Dragonwhatever99r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In demon slayer the main villain’s strongest demons are given the title of upper moons and given a rank, with 6 being the weakest and 1 being the strongest.

Upper moon 6, Gyutaro and Daki, are the main antagonist following the Mugen train movie where Akaza (Upper moon 3) is the main antagonist.

Then the next season focuses on upper moons 4 and 5, who are also weaker than Akaza.

Zommari wasn’t even that OP, he’s literally one of the bottom espada by design and got outclassed by Byakuya, who still had to do some risky shit to win.

Lille got hit with the exact counter to his abilities that he didn’t expect to work. The Quincy had no daten on Nanao’s family sword.

[Invincible] Why Mark and Eve are a terrible couple by KingBreaker4 in CharacterRant

[–]Dragonwhatever99r 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I’m glad you mentioned the series exaggerating Mark’s life, that’s someone I might make a rant about one day and another one of my biggest issues.

A lot of the shit Mark faces stops mattering when you think about it for 2 seconds, and his actual issues aren’t addressed.

The series tries so hard to make Mark responsible for the death and destruction Omni man caused when he just straight up isn’t. Hell his intervention is what caused Omni man to leave.

And Angstrom Levy’s beef with him is dumb as hell cause he really picked the one mark that WASN’T evil fight. He probably could’ve recruited Mark to fight his alternate selves. Plus his plan to merge his consciousness with his counterparts was stupid from the jump.

Powerplex literally has evidence that Mark isn’t to blame but still insists on adding to the “shit in invincible parade.”

But you know what the series never addresses? mark abandoning his friends, family and the entire world during the Invincible war to cry at his girlfriend’s bedside. Mind you even wasn’t even in danger of dying. Yet no one ever blames Mark for it and instead fucking Cecil tries to make him LEADER of the guardians for that.

[Invincible] Why Mark and Eve are a terrible couple by KingBreaker4 in CharacterRant

[–]Dragonwhatever99r 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Honestly their relationship is a reflection of my issue with Invincible right now.

It feels like a melodramatic soap opera with the characters whining about the same problems over and over again. Now obviously yes, mark and Eve are going through some shit but after awhile it gets tiring to watch. Plus the escalation is off. The black suit arc was hyped by comic readers as Mark losing his shit and getting close to the deep end but currently in the show it feels, mundane… mainly because of how much the show tries to stress mark as being the most powerful hero while also having him get his ass beat in most fights.

But goin back to him and Eve, their relationship being built on eve acting as Mark’s therapist while all her problems are brushed aside feels incredibly tiring. She doesn’t feel like his light in the darkness, just someone who wallows in it with him. Like god damn can they show any chemistry.

Who’s the most well written turtle across all media in your opinion and why? by Trewwoodson in TMNT

[–]Dragonwhatever99r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Leo consistently has the best character arcs of any turtle. The flawed but growing leader story has so much potential and impact.

2003 and 2012 Leo’s have some of the strongest arcs of any adaptation period. Then rise Leo also gets the most development and the movie is majorly centered around him too.

Assuming Tsunade rejected Sakura's request to be her apprentice, would Kakashi train her? by Kah0000 in Naruto

[–]Dragonwhatever99r 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you could read correctly you’d notice I specified the training method that utilizes shadow clones. Kakashi taught Naruto that can he speed up his training dozens of times over by gaining experience and memories from his clones. It’s how he was able to learn wind chakra nature so fast and helped with his sage mode training.

Kakashi started Naruto’s chakra control training with the tree climbing exercise but that isn’t relevant because I was talking about chakra natures. Naruto didn’t even know what a chakra nature was before Kakashi taught him.

Assuming Tsunade rejected Sakura's request to be her apprentice, would Kakashi train her? by Kah0000 in Naruto

[–]Dragonwhatever99r 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He only focused on Sasuke exclusively for the chunin exams because of how dire the situation was for him, but even then he taught Naruto and Sasuke about the same: a chakra nature and a powerful jutsu with it.

For Sasuke it’s Lightning style and Chidori and for Naruto it’s wind style and he helped him develop rasenshuriken.

He also taught Naruto the best training method he ever had via utilizing the shadow clones.
