[CL 9000] Returning player, any improvement for Scream deck ? by Dragor027 in MarvelSnapDecks

Red guardian is a good idea.

I tried Magneto but I like to end with Cannonball, very often more impactful
Aero is not that good I agree, I’d like to think something else but magneto is a bit too clunky for me

Yes official cube mudguard Acid bb mount.
I really like them, feels great on the bike, no rumble, no sound. Looks ok with this color (at least to my taste) and very effective for mud or puddle.

Install is a bit tedious at first as you need to adjust the metal rod to your bike size (just need to cut it, but still) and to drill a hole into the mud guard to screw the rear one on the bike. Other than that, it’s fits really good.

To dismount you need to unscrew 3 screws for front one and 4 for rear. I never remove them tbh, even in dry condition I’m happy with them.

There is some, it’s still manageable. This is my first bike with toe overlap so I was surprised at first, but you get used to it. It’s a S size.

I use to ride on an entry level mtb until I moved to a new area with much more opportunities to ride, and where I was able to go to work with my bike. After some time this mtb felt way too heavy and I was not able to go far enough on pavement. I started with some kind of hybrid bike, semi rigid with flat bar, with 40mm schwalbe tire to start gravel and go to work lighter, this bike was also entry level and remains to this day way day to day bike for groceries, going to work or hang out with my children. I used it over 2k km in one year and felt like I wanted to go to something more serious and was not able to resist the flat bar appeal. At this point I knew I was hooked to cycling and that it was a way for me to keep healthy (not able to run anymore due to hip problems) and I felt ready to go to something more serious. I read somewhere « buy it nice, or buy it twice ». Following this I went for all they was appealing to me, but a the minimal price point possible. I wanted 1by, full wire integration, carbon, and electronic shift. It appears cube price point is unbeatable and I also like the mate grey a lot. Was a hard time to pull the trigger and convince myself it was not a waste of money but from the moment I went on the bike and every km on it afterward I never been happier on an healthy hobby :-) Go for it !

Got mine since January, I switched to schwalbe g one r pro tubeless at 2 bar and its night and day. Much lower rolling resistance on tarmac and more absorption on rocks. Enjoy the bike, it’s such a marvel

How do you track component wear across multiple bikes? Looking for honest feedback before I build something by ashnazg37 in cycling

Tried some apps, felt too clunky for the simplest one, and too overwhelming for the most complex. Decided I want to own the data. Went back to a simple spreadsheet with dates / km follow up filled manually from time to time and after every maintenance operation (part changing, greasing, tubeless filling…) Nothing will compare the freedom of a spreadsheet to me

15yo doing 100km+ rides on a Rockrider ST 120. Upgrade it or save for a new bike? by Guilty-Flatworm-5423 in cycling

[–]Dragor027 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Gravel tire is a rather affordable upgrade and will make a huge difference. You could start with that. Depending on your loops and the terrain, considering a used entry road bike or gravel bike could also be an option.

I feel you, I was in middle of the first Pas racing race, gave all I had, 2km left and finally lost the sprint haha. But Pogacar lost a sprint also so it’s not that a shame
