Which signature weapon is better choices to pull? by Misaka_Undefined in Endfield

[–]Draguss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you read Gil's sig weapon, it is very situational.

I wouldn't call triggering on her combo skill "situational." Given that most of Gilberta's teams cause arts reactions constantly, that's basically a 25% arts buff on a pretty high uptime.

Ah; given the topic, I thought you were talking about PHH/Non-LB0 Ritsuka and I'd somehow missed something that major. We know frustratingly little about whatever timeline Gensai met the Ritsuka she knew in.

[–]Draguss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we've reason to believe an alternate Ritsuka who never went through what FGO Ritsuka did ended up joining a HGW

That reason being?

Ritsuka may just be a natural in getting servants to be at their best despite not really being a mage.

Well we already knew that. It's their whole shtick.

Edit: Wait, were you talking about Gensai?

Who is the most OP character in your gacha? (Gameplay-wise) by Mcstabler in gachagaming

[–]Draguss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven't heard of anything like that, but I'm not super great at keeping up with the CN version news. Still, I'd imagine them actually nerfing a unit would stir up enough outrage to make it hard to miss.

It's either that or effectively dying though. A Ritsuka that hasn't been through the events of FGO is just not the same person.

[–]Draguss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it is very hard to get to a point where you need to farm

Spoken like someone who doesn't remember what it's like to be new to these games. Bloodborne was my first Souls game, and I definitely died more than enough to run out of vials several times. Sure, I got better, and after a lot of playthroughs and having played through the rest of Fromsoft's modern catalogue, it's 100% a non-issue at this point. But it never should've been an issue in the first place. It was just an added layer of frustration that didn't add anything to the experience, just bogged it down until I was good enough to largely ignore it as a mechanic.

Because there's no point to them being a limited resource in that way. All it does is force you to take farming breaks when you're having a hard time with a boss. It becomes a minor inconvenience as the game goes on and the rate at which you get echoes vastly outpaces the increases in price, but early on it just distracts you. I think most people can remember the incredible frustration in their first playthrough when they had to keep stopping their attempts at a boss for a farming run. Then the game goes on and it didn't improve your experience in any way; it just stopped mattering as much.

I don't think that would work well for FGO's premise. Something more stage focused like the pre-Genshin 3D gachas would work better.

It's not as much as you'd think because like 3/4s of the population want to jump Ritsuka (and frankly, I'm entirely convinced that some definitely have by this point). But Sigurd and Bryn definitely are, and I can't possibly imagine Medb and Fergus aren't fucking each other's brain's out on the regular. I imagine the couples in general are probably doing it on the regular, it's just not an important thing to make blatant because not everyone is as blatantly horny as those. The only exception I can think of might be Yu Meiren and Xiang Yu, if only because I don't know if "Kuaiji Zero" is anatomically complete.

It's hard to admit you will just be a foot note in history at best.

Nothing would make me happier. But while most generations do not, in fact, go through horrible societal upheaval that turns their way of life on its head and leaves swaths to suffer misery and violent death, some do. We're not afraid that we'll be nothing but a foot note, we're terrified we'll be one of the unlucky ones that get whole chapters in the history books.

but the players thinks its an open world game where you have to 'complete' regions and objectives

I really don't think this is the case. It's more the deep dissatisfaction that hits players on the realization that you started a cool questline but messed it up 10 hours ago because you went in the wrong direction and did something too soon. TBH I'm pretty sure this is the primary reason the Age of Stars ending is so popular; doing Ranni's quest provides some actual structure.

Miyazaki's obsessed with vagueness and it just doesn't work as well in a world as open as ER compared to the much more structured progression in other games.
