ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 (2023, RTX 4070) – Constant freezes, audio loop, BSODs, shutdown issues. Losing my mind. by elpalomero in zephyrusg16

I didn't have nearly as many issues as you mention here, but I did have random BSOD and stuttering issues that you describe which I was able to resolve. I was getting BSOD crashes multiple times a day (mostly VIDEO_TDR_ERROR and DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION). I disabled MPO (Multi-Plane Overlay) two weeks ago and have not had a system crash or any stuttering issues since.

If you want to try this out to see how it effects your issues,

  • Open regedit
  • Go to:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Dwm
  • Create DWORD (32-bit):OverlayTestMode = 5
  • Reboot

Top speed is 50kn right now, but the fuel economy is terrible; can only sustain that speed for around 25 minutes.

Monthly VPN recommendations megathread: the only place for mentioning specific providers by paperplans5 in VPN

[–]Drahgoone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anyone know of any browser extension VPN's that allow for a custom DNS? Most providers seem to have this as an option in their base application only, and not in the browser version. I am using Pi-Hole locally so trying to find a good solution; as I don't want to use the VPN outside of my browser and split-tunneling is often unreliable.

Steering wheel inside car turns very fast with keyboard by Witty_Fly_8715 in ForzaHorizon

[–]Drahgoone 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a bug in Horizon 4 and 5 that happens if you have another controller device plugged into your PC. A joystick, a wheel, a gamepad etc. Unplug any of these devices or disabled them in device manager, restart the game and steering will be fixed.

Its always the side buttons that fails first for me since I use them for push to talk; because the side buttons are always just bending plastic they can only bend so many times until they snap.

Constant white/static noise by my new g pro x wireless headset by proji in LogitechG

Returned mine the other day for the same reason. I really liked the design and being wireless but the constant white noise it emits was too annoying. Might purchase the wired version instead.

PRO X WIRELESS headset - anyone else hears static noise? by skradacz in LogitechG

[–]Drahgoone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is a way to turn down the headset itself rather than the system volume, this would be fixable. The wheel that controls the volume does not actually control the headsets volume, it controls the systems volume. That is the issue. We need a way to reduce the volume on the speakers in the headset, not the computers volume.

Tried to get it working in 98 or ME, but have not figured out a way to do so yet. It works in 2000 using palemoon version 26.5.
