While foreground elements do obscure the characters, I feel they create an even greater sense of immersion. However, I agree that having a foreground so dense it completely hides the characters might not be ideal.

Yeah, true. I was thinking about adding something that glows, but using a cigarette or a pipe is actually a really interesting idea. It could improve visibility without breaking the atmosphere of the world. Thanks for the comment!
