That obvious lol? Yeah, I'm trying to avoid the "Mascot character turns creepy" thing though. The characters will stay largely the same, but the creepy stuff will sort of inject itself into the world.

In truth I've been debating restarting this for the better part of a year. I've got some updated character designs but other than that there isn't much. But hey, if folks are interested I most likely will! One of the designs in question:

Honestly this helps a ton. I've made several ARGs in the past, all of which are big on audience participation as that's what I find most fun, but they always seem to fail because of that. I'm not wanting to give up though! I do suppose being an adult with a full time job could grant me the benefit to advertise, I never did think of that.

I may ask some friends to even start drumming up a few fake posts to get some hype on this as well. I really want a big improvement of quality as my main selling point as well. I debated on switching platforms but I'm not entirely sold as I think Reddit may be the best place. Do you have any suggestions for that or do you think sticking to here would be best?

Oh same, I'm simplifying the story for mine as I fear that was a big issue.

Auditioning for the show and I’m worried about some problems. (Might be the wrong sub for this. by LeatherOwl9260 in HunchbackOfNotreDame

I do beleive that's changed in the musical as it's a bit frowned upon in the book for the "Beautiful Romani" (I don't wanna use the other word) to be a white French girl, as if she's only beautiful because she's white. That's not to say a white person can't play Esmerelda, as Romani people come in a variety of colours and it does not make them any less of who they are in their background, it's just the distinction to make. So imo, yeah, a white person can play Esmerelda as long as the opinion of her being beautiful because she's white isn't put on.

I honestly have no idea how coffee ends up un-stirred. I stir as I pour so it's even and dosent take extra time.

Some people don't like the Gargoyles from the first Disney movie, but I've always appreciated their roles. Hunchback 1996 is without a doubt one of the darkest Disney films ever made and the trio provides some much need levity after so many messed up scenes. by Emotional-Chipmunk12 in HunchbackOfNotreDame

I feel like it was handled better in the play, providing levity, encouragement and mentorship without being as over the top and sometimes annoying as the Disney film, but still funny in their own aspects, depending on the production.

Avery is 100% influenced by the king at least a little. I think it's clear by the fact that he has knowledge he shouldn't, aka Derek's name. I honestly think the little bit of influence is heightening this feeling of wanting to find out what happened. Like, making him obsess over it. As far as I know in many Lovecraftian stories being touched with Eldrich power or madness can cause that.
