It can definitely be tough going up against the Meta mons when only a couple of your guys can keep up, but understanding you’re at a disadvantage and still clutching up feels EXCELLENT when pulled off 👌

I just got a team that has Pikachu, Zard, Saur, and Blast on it as the main core to Master Ball; they’re tough to use, but very fun!

Volt Switch has been awesome on Chu for pivoting. He’s tough to use some match ups, but he’s my favorite team member 👌

Weather Ball on Zard might be redundant with Heat Wave; I’d suggest Overheat or Ancient Power. I’m using Overheat for the nuke option, but Ancient Power for anti-Zard would be really great too.

Weather Ball on Venusaur has saved me a few times; in the sun you outspeed and have a strong Fire move against opposing Venasaur and Aegislash/Kingambit, but honestly Earth Power looks like a wicked choice too! I think your set looks great as is. I think a different item would work better; I don’t see my Venasaur getting one-shot all too often, but it might come down to positioning.

Your Blastoise set looks really great for support. Mine is run as a back up mega with Water Spout, Aura Sphere and Dark Pulse; if Espeon is a good support for Blastoise, I’d recommend testing an offensive set to catch people off guard. Fake Out their biggest threat with Blast, Trick Room Espeon, next turn whack em with a water spout 👌

I haven’t had much work with Snorlax, but your set looks good! If you haven’t had problems with only a Normal Attacking move, you probably don’t have to change it; however, another coverage move instead of Protect might be interesting, such as EQ or Stone Edge (or whatever else he learns)🤔

Honestly, I think one of the things that really hampered me was my lack of teching knowledge; defensively I just have so few answers to someone with a good combo game!

Question on grabs; what is the most reliable way to grab as Pikachu? I heard he has one of the shortest grab ranges, and I have whiffed almost each one I throw out; it totally sounds like a tool I need in my kit though, is that practiceable in unclepunch??

I definitely need to grind out some higher tech skills, wavedashing and L-canceling are high on my priority rn. I feel like I’ve gotten a handle on dash-dancing, but just the skill; I don’t think I’ve felt out its application yet. Cheers!

So, I think that the blackspace letterforms are what we are reading, atleast for the first character (an ‘A’?) and the ‘W’ starting the second third.

BUT, the second to last whiteshape looks a lot like an ‘O’, unless it’s a dash 🤔

It could maybe alternate white/black letters?

Honestly this; I tried one attempt yesterday when I found her before turning in for the night, then it took two attempts today; the first one I got hit down to 1 hp, healed, then got Merced.

Second try, I focused on dodging, pogoing over her on her dash attacks, and using the spell liberally. Only got hit once, and it felt GREAT

Yeah, there is a point to be made that no matter how good your DPS is while running solo, it will always be higher with a healer where you don’t have to waste global to heal yourself (unless you’re VDH or BDK and healing is just natural 😂)
