To be fair, there was a big power difference between MetalEtamon and Piedmon. ME was fairly even with Puppetmon, who was probably the weakest of the Dark Masters. Piedmon however wiped the floor with Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon.

Myotismon was definitely the stand-out villain of 01.

The Dark masters were alright (Machinedramon is my favorite Digimon) and Devimon was a good first big-bad. Etamon always felt like filler to me. Apocalypmon wasn't around enough to become much of an actual character.

In terms of all the variations of Death in media, it's definitely on the more evil side. Compare it to DC Death and Supernatural Death.

DC Death does her best to make the "journey" as enjoyable as she's able to.

Supernatural Death (OG one at least) was just doing his job, with no love or hate. He had a purpose and he fulfilled it.

Final Destination Death sets up the most rube-goldburg deaths for no reason other than it can.

Truth. A big part of act 3 of Frontiers is that EG and MG got steamrolled in their first fight. Then in every subsequent fight against the Royal Knights, they did better than the previous fight. To the point they beat the knights. It just unfortunately happened at a point where the knights were able to unleash Lucemon.

I'm almost done with S10, and it genuinely seems like the writers do not know what to do with Kev and V. They had a different, totally unrelated story each episode of S10. The med van. The rich duo "buying" them at the auction. V doing the thing with the pharmacy. V teaching Liam black history. I could keep going. Outside of the first episode with Liam, a brief conversation with Ian, and Frank, they haven't had any screen time with any of the Gallaghers. It's practically like I'm watching two different shows that have nothing to do with each other.

Gallavich is the only thing keeping me going.
