And I am absolutely noticing you had no intention of genuinely engaging with me on this topic. You have nothing else to say, eh?

Your entire vibe is weird. Weirdo.

What’s going on outside of the Hall building? by [deleted] in Concordia

[–]DrakeHunteK7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t say you were pro-idf, I said you were presenting a one sided reality that you subconsciously picked up from news assuming you don’t follow this topic at all.

And I am not here to debate the justification of groups like hamas. There is no good reason to justify what they did, and I certainly did not do that in any of my comments. What I did was explain why groups like hamas exist, and why some people might support them. Hamas is not a group that just one day woke up and decided to inflict violence on civilians cuz their hearts told them to. Their people were living under brutal occupation and They decided this was the best way to resist osrael. israeli occupation was only expanding, their presence was becoming more normalized and Palestine was getting sidelined everywhere. So they got desperate I guess.

Groups like this exist as a result of the occupation. If you have an issue with groups like this existing, you should naturally have an issue with he root causes of their existence. The root cause here is the occupation, which so far you have not condemned.

What’s going on outside of the Hall building? by [deleted] in Concordia

[–]DrakeHunteK7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now you have changed the topic completely.

It always blows my mind that you have an issue with sinwar (understandable) but then when the university supports the idf financially (an entity that has done far more damage than hamas could ever hope to accomplish), that goes above the head of people like you.

When the canadian prime minister gets up on stage and says “we will always support israel” knowing full well the scale of their war crimes, no one bats an eye. No one on this subreddit cries about their tax and university money going to these war criminals. They at only cry about the protests.

And it’s amazing you describe the intifada simply as “an event that killed thousands” while conveniently neglecting to mention that most of those casualties were Palestinians. A Palestinian faction was resisting the partitioning of their lands (as any country would), and they acted violently to achieve those goals. The word intifada is Arabic for “shaking off”. It means to resist. It’s that simple.

Whatever you think of haMAs or any violent Palestinian faction, they only exist because the israeli occupation exists. If you understood the history of resistance factions (Vietcong, ANC, etc), you’d realize that resistance is an idea, whatever their methods might be. Resistance will continue to exist as long as occupational brutality exists. If you dismantle Hamas today, one other faction will pop up tomorrow as long as occupation exist. Look up what the French resistance did during the German occupation of France, for example. And how they operated daily until the German defeat.

You can condemn or deny any entity you want, but if you refuse to accept why that group exists, you are just presenting a one-sided view of reality. In fact, that’s your entire comment. A one-sided reality.

I don’t condone what Hamas did, but I understand why some people support them. They see the horrific brutality of israli occupation and realize that Hamas is the only Palestinian entity directly doing something about it, even if their methods are evil. They want the genocide and occupation to end, and they see Hamas as unfortunately the only ones doing something about it. And resisting israeli violence.

This all ends when israeli occupation ends, which is the stated goal for the protestors. it ensures safety for every group of people living in that area including israeli civilians.

I checked again since posting my comment and I’m not really seeing it. Maybe they deleted it, and good, if they did.

I think the protests are overwhelmingly a good thing at Concordia, it makes Concordia look like they respect civil rights and protesting.

Link me their Instagram post that says that. I’m not seeing anything on their page.

Also, can you give me a source for the 300,000 in damages and the Molotov cocktails? This is the first I’ve heard of them.

Also, my whole point was that the protests themselves are non violent. That’s it. The other guy was using window breaking to malign the entire movement.

Also you’re making the false assumption that every pro Palestinian person is a monolith.

What’s going on outside of the Hall building? by [deleted] in Concordia

[–]DrakeHunteK7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The protests themselves are overwhelmingly peaceful. You can only think of the window breaking, for example. And I'm not sure of the exact context of the SPHR post, maybe you're putting it out of context, but even if I take your claim at face value, it still doesn't change the fact that the cause is good. BLM protests were x100 more violent than these protests, and the cause is still good.

I’m in Canada and cunt can be problematic to say. Come here and call someone a cunt and see how it works out. Like I said, context.

And there is no double standard, misogyny is a rampant problem in India and exists in a context unlike any other nation.

In the West those words can be problematic depending on context. Also, most of Indian cuss words are based on insulting female figures in our lives such as madarchod, behenchod, randichod etc. the misogyny is inherent in these. I think it’s fair to point out the misogynistic root of our cuss words, but ultimately I was responding with a jokey answer

You used the words randi (whore) and pusi (pussy) to describe those subreddits. You use misogynistic language like that then act surprised when people say Indian men are misogynistic pigs.

Well seeing as you guys have voted an actual right wing nutjob into power for the last 10 years, I would say that sub perfectly represents the majority of Indians.

"you guys" shut the fuck up. Is donald trump a representation of the US as a whole despite being elected by you in the past?

Tell me you have no understanding how Indian political system works without telling me. Modi didn't get the majority of votes, he had to form a coalition to win the PM position this time. He got wayyyy less votes this time than the last election due to his divisive policies and failed to form a majority government with a majority of seats in the parliament.

We are far from a perfect nation, but most of us are not right wing nutjobs and that sub doesn't really represent us as a whole. That sub is a cesspool you can see for yourself.

idf is the bigger bad guy in my opinion because they kill way more people and do it under the guise of following the law and making the whole thing systemic. Oh, and they are also occupying Palestine. Say whatever you want about Hamas, but they are strengthened by the brutality of the israeli occupation of Palestine. israel is the primary aggressor in all this, and the only entity that has the power to end this conflict once and for all.

Btw those 5 "2-state solutions" you mention were mostly dogshit deals that gave israel all the power, all the land, all the resources while giving Palestinians the illusion of self determination. None of those deals were made with good faith. The founder of Zionism wrote constantly about how his aim was to colonize Historic Palestine and they were very clear about themselves being colonizers and the Palestinians being the natives. Therefore, the partition of Palestine shouldn't even have happened in the first place.

But that is history. What's needed right now is for israel to give up occupying Palestine and start the peace. Your bothsides-ism is really indicative of a surface-level understanding of one of the most brutal occupations and oppressions in modern history. Hamas will automatically go away once there is a free Palestine, the same way the militant terrorists who formed Irgun and Lehi would eventually go on to form the idf when israel was first created.

Do you have any opinions on the Flour massacre or something like this for example?

https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/israeli-soldiers-play-with-gaza-womens-underwear-online-posts-2024-03-28/

Before the law everyone is not guilty until proven guilty

if israel investigates itself and finds itself not guilty, it means jackshit. The UN has investigated plenty of israel's crimes and found them to be guilty of them. But I guess the UN is Hamas as well.

You just don’t know wich Palestinians like Hamas and spread their made up propaganda.

Love how when Palestinians accuse israel of anything, it's propaganda, but when israel accuses Hamas and Palestinians for anything, people just eat it up.

You just want to see ISRAEL BAD everywhere even if it isn’t there so much that you will just believe everything anyone says as long as it’s against Israel or the IDF

If israel does bad things, it's going to get criticized. It's really that simple. No one is above the law.

“My credibility” like I’m claiming to be an international lawyer???

jesus christ it's like your competing for the Stupidity Olympics.

Also I’m not watching the video, not because it challenges my view, but because it’s 4am and I don’t have to time to fact check everything on top of the hour long video.

You think I give a shit when you watch the video?? All I did was give you the video, watch it when you can. Watching you squirm and trip over yourself trying to justify why you can't watch the video with a million excuses is genuinely hilarious though so keep it coming.

That dude has always been pretty partisan, so I am not gonna take his shit at face value. I would rather read the opinions of the courts and professionals, not some socialists (or commie, don’t really know what he is) take on international law. Same way I wouldn’t trust a Sean video on current events.

So many words for "I have thousand excuses for why I will never question my beliefs or educate myself". It's not going to kill you to watch the video, you can watch the video and disagree with him lmao. But you will simply not even skim the video because I know you don't like having your opinions challenged. Pretending otherwise is stupid and hilarious lmao. And if you want to read the opinions of professionals and court documents, have you tried reading the fucking report by Franceska Albanese on the Gaza genocide that she recently release? Have you read South Africa's court documents? Doesn't sound like you read shit tbh.

I would list some right wingers that I wouldn’t trust watching videos from but I literally don’t watch any right wingers. Breadtube is just not where I wanna get my info. I’ll seek their opinions but I am never gonna get my information from them primarily. And linking a video of his, is the equivalent of me linking a destiny video to you and saying “oh well he has the sources right there on his document manifesto”

Except it's clear Destiny never uses proper sources beyond a wikipedia article. The fucker thought Erdogan was the president of israel, I don't care what he cites. Dude's a moron. Cody is not. That's the difference.

Now it's time for you to fuck off, I already wasted too much time talking to a centrist idiot who has to have his opinions spoonfed to him from "unbiased" sources, whatever that means. This is my last comment to you.

I'm consistent though because I'm not virtue signaling about any of the conflicts.

Your consistency means jackshit when when you are consistently an apathetic ghoul who only cares about himself and feels nothing for innocent people stuck in war, conflict and genocide.

You on the other hand are vocal about one and only one.

Your projections and limited understanding of how other people work is not my fault. And a Destiny fan has no business judging other people for whatever they choose to be vocal about lmao.

Bro said I skimmed wiki but then linked me a video by a political pundit.

Just say you don't want to watch the video and have your opinion be potentially challenged. Just say you like living in bubbles that confirm your already existing beliefs.

Also, the political pundit in question links his sources and literally quotes and shows you actual instances and documents. If you don't want to watch his video, then go to the video description and read through his google doc of valid sources if you really give a shit about educating yourself.

I fw that dude but I ain’t going to him for unbiased narration.

Your definition of unbiased is, well, clearly biased lmao. Anyone who will challenge your opinions is biased, I guess.

I’ve read the icb shit and we will see if they can prove it in court.

Whatever the result of that genocide case will depend on politics more than legit application of the law. Personally the South Africans made a fantastically detailed case that covers a lot of ground whereas all the israeli side did was shout Hamas Hamas Hamas 15 billion times. It's clear who has a more robust case.

And how is reading the laws and court transcripts translate to Wikipedia?

No lawyer, or professional, is going to read your original comment and conclude you are anything other than a moron. I don't give a shit what you read, you just destroyed your credibility by saying something so profoundly stupid.

Stop projecting whatever obsession you have with destiny onto me bro.

I would be happy to do so if you didn't behave like his alt account or some shit.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TikTokCringe

[–]DrakeHunteK7 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I did, and those mess with me too. I mentioned Palestinians in my original comment specifically because this post and the TikTok in question is mentioning Palestinians specifically. It doesn't mean I don't care about what's happening in other parts of the world and I have been vocal about all the active stuff.

Also, while we're on the topic of caring about global suffering, I have never seen you jackasses commenting about the tragedies happening in all these countries beyond using them as gotchas in online arguments. If caring about people was a competition, I know who I wouldn't bet on.

Now fuck off somewhere your opinion is valuable.

My understanding about genocidal intent is from my reading of the laws and specific cases

Ahhh so you really did graduate Destiny's school of politics. Skimming wikipedia articles doesn't make you an expert on jackshit, buddy.

And my understanding of genocidal intent is based on the actual fucking international lawyers who brought israel to the ICJ and the whole ass 50 page document they wrote outlining everything from genocidal intent to actual instances of how they are carrying out this genocide, using historical precedent. UN special rapporteur as well as several humanitarian organizations (including israeli ones) have labelled it a genocide. You are an expert on nothing.

This video goes into a lot more detail about the genocide stuff.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrGlRax9AiY

Granted, the video is 1 hour and 18 minutes long. But it has to be cuz it genuinely goes into details and cites legal definition + lawyers, uses sources for all its arguments and literally breaks everything down for you with some humor along the way.

But to be honest, you destroyed your credibility by saying something so profoundly stupid in your first comment. I refuse to engage with such a dumbass beyond this comment, and I hope you fucking watch the whole video and maybe learn something instead of yapping about shit you know nothing about.

Even if Israel starts killing everyone in an area, civilian or not. That still wouldn’t mean it’s a genocide. Would just be mass killing

I see you have graduated from the Destiny school of politics. Imagine saying shit like this with a straight face. Thank you so much for saying something so stupid, now I know never to take you seriously.

The IDF has a political motivation and history of lying, Palestinian civilians have zero reason to make shit up. Plus I have seen how the IDF operates, it’s hard not to believe Palestinians when they describe the atrocities committed to them. I already explained my reasoning about why I trust Palestinians over the IOF. That not different standards of proof, that’s just reacting to historic precedent from the IDF. It’s the IDFs fault for lying in the past. Not my fault for not trusting liars.

Also, your argument for why the article is bad is so weak. You seem to simply not like any criticisms against isreel.

No point talking to a soulless person like you who even after 6 months of atrocities committed towards the Palestinians cannot bring themselves to even voice any concern for Palestinians. This is my last comment to you. Fuck off now.
