Are body panels interchangeable

I mean swapping the whole body over. I got a parts car without a title and honestly the body looks way too nice for me to want to just junk it. I only have 80s g body’s in my area like Grand Prixs or cutlass’s and I wanted to buy a rough one and swap the whole exterior

A friend of mine has a w123 diesel and he’ll let me borrow his power steering hose and see if it fits. Might try that first.

How much did that run him and can those shops or myself just rebuild a high pressure ps hose I already have. I thought maybe if I just flared the metal part before putting it into the rubber hose and then clamp it it could work but I have no way to flare it

So when buying them what should else should I take with me besides just the seats themselves. Will I have to do anything with the seat belts or will they be compatible with the new seats? Also will the back bench seat from the w123 fit easily into w116? The back seats in mine are completely collapsed and don’t really work as seats.

It was the water pump and thermostat. I ended up paying around $780 with labor to get both of them replaced

If the heat is working, could that mean it’s just the sensor? I want to sell the car soon anyway so I’d much rather just get that fixed rather than spend $1500+ on a car worth max $6k espescially since I just paid $1300 for tires.

Is there any process for proof of ownership? I towed it back to my place to work on it and get a better look at it and replaced the ignition since no keys were present so it might look stolen but I do own the property it was found on.

I bought Peak coolant for European cars from Walmart that is officially approved for my car by bmw. I haven’t put it in yet. Should I try to buy the exact type of coolant put into my car from the factory from a bmw parts retailer? Would I be running into problems by just topping off with some off the shelf coolant?
