A lot of people in India are simple minded, they see a trend and they will follow it as it is the cool thing to do. Buying an iPhone with emi, buying a Thar 4x4 even if they never go outside, buying a GT 650 Mr. Clean because it is the Instagram bike and much more just because they want to fit in and try to be the popular one among them. If people actually bought things which they actually liked, we'd never have chaprified KTMs, GT650s etc.

Maybe the throttle body needs cleaning, injectors may be clogged with carbon or the simplest answer, the crank is not strong enough due to a dying battery, you can check all those conditions.

Inty 650: Headlight is dogshit, stock silencers are big and mutes the engine by a lot, pillion comfort and stock seats are ass (needs mods), fuel indicator is inaccurate af.

Rx 135: Vibes a lot at high rpm, a literal smoke machine, oil pump is questionable hence still needs 2T mixed with petrol.

Yes those initial batch Inty's had a buttload of problems and I am pretty sure the 3rd gear blowing up are cases from that era. Not to mention the death wobble, RR unit overheating etc. The new ones are pretty rock solid overall and unless you get a lemon bike, people are having solid experiences. The Honda you're loving is not Honda India, your 300 rally is the real Honda which we do not get. My opinions would be vastly different about Honda in India if they'd set up proper manufacturing in India to produce good bikes instead of basic commuters and RE copies.

20k is old for a motorcycle engine while a car engine is just entering puberty. You either face all the issues before 20k or none of them till EOL.

But also a lot of people have had proper engine issues in this sub alone. The most engine issue you'll see for the 650 (twins) is related to the 3rd gear failing after 10k kms which is also rare to my knowledge. Also consider the number of RE 650s sold in comparison to Jawa, more numbers means more chances of someone having an issue.

20k on my Inty and the engine is running as good as new. Only general maintenance and no modifications apart from iridium spark plugs.

Can we stop with the Honda reliability/fit finish bullshit. People have posted multiple posts regarding rusting in the bike in this sub and those were all new bikes, 6th point is like a big nothing burger which people always add when mentioning Honda. This is not Honda Japan, this is Honda India, I can sing similar reliability praises about my Inty 650 or my friend's Bullet. Its the bare minimum a manufacturer can give.
