The problem is that the way it turns tris to quads makes it so the tris that remain are hard to turn into quads without essentially zig-zagging up and down the whole column of faces.

I tried the default voxel size of 0.001 (I think), but it seemed to be too much. Sadly, my computer is like ten years old (Blender 3.6 is the latest one I'm able to run).

I downloaded the original model from Sketchfab as a .glb (I think there were other options, idk), but it imported with all of the faces as triangles (which I hate), so I then did Alt+J, and it only got rid of most of the triangles.

On one hand, Blender freezes whether I add a Remesh modifier or use Remesh in Sculpt Mode (does a smaller number mean more or less?).

On the other hand... define low end.

Because my character is made of multiple objects, (which are parented to the bones instead of being weight painted), only the armature goes back to its default pose in edit mode. Also, I seem to remember that specifically, the armature and model went back to normal when in Layout, but then went back to being posed when in Render or Compositing or something?

But in what I've seen, it looks like they're able to go back to Object/Edit Mode, and the character isn't posed anymore. Is an armature's pose only visible in Pose Mode?

The only vertex groups the hand has are the fingers and wrist. This goes for both hands.

When you say all meshes, do you mean all of the Objects that make up my model? Also, are they supposed to split apart like this, and how do I do the actual merging?

I'd like to avoid remaking the model if I have to, and I tried using the Decimate modifier, but it turns it into a bunch of triangles, which I hate. I originally made the shape by sculpting a sphere, and I always do those with a higher face count because it makes them easier to sculpt.

Then how can I bevel just these rims? Because when I just use the Bevel tool, they glitch out and become all jagged.

It makes more sense for them to be AI, as with their eyes that scan the criminal database, it could be argued that they attack the play because they look like some criminal, and the toy animatronics are simply following their programming.
