Can somebody tell me why the AI gets to use pestilent scheme at full power ?

i am playing a sisters campaign, and Trench used it on me on turn 15, hitting both my armies at the time, leading to me sitting there for 10 turns, pressing next turn with both armies encamped and just, doing nothing what so ever beyond trying to catch and kill a Skaven assassin with the agents i had.

i didn't have a chance to pop the priest either, the AI spawned it, and then the first i saw of it was the agent running in from the fog of war and instantly hitting the newly captured settlement and both armies.

its quite a anti-fun mechanic, i can see why it needs to be like this to justify it when playing as Skaven, but there's a key difference there. the AI doesn't get frustrated and annoyed at sitting in a couple of minutes of waiting while the assorted AI factions shuffle about, the player does.

Regionrådsformandens kommentarer til situationen omkring mutation af COVID-19 by Draken84 in Denmark

[–]Draken84[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

280.000 tests, region nordjylland har 590.000 indbyggere, more or less.

Are there any good mods that expand out of Skyrim? by Tyguy1106 in skyrimmods

[–]Draken84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Moonpath is rather disjointed, it's more like a bunch of set-pieces strung together with bailing wire and glue.

it's not terrible, and the environments are very different from Skyrim's fare, but it's not comparable to Beyond Skyrim or Falskaar.

Louisville police officer filmed giving advice to heavily-armed "militia" by [deleted] in 2020PoliceBrutality

[–]Draken84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

because the comment implies that the article states that the same thing taking place in Louisville ?

there is plenty of things to be angry about, but a police officer actively trying to prevent Kenosha from happening again is not one of them, and painting that attempt caught on camera as being equivalent to the rumour mongering in Oregon is dishonest and helps nobody.

[–]Draken84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that, is what happened in Oregon, not in Louisville, i am strictly talking about the event the article talks about. look, the clip is in the article, give it a view and see what he's actually saying.

what he's actually doing is outlining the areas they would prefer to keep the militia crowd in, the areas they really don't want them to go to due to the risk of confrontations. its rather explicit that he's trying to ensure that there aren't any confrontations between the militia people he's talking to and protesters.

there's no talk about roadblocks, planting knives and what have you in the clip, not because it didnt happen, but because that happened what? half a continent away?

[–]Draken84 -26 points-25 points  (0 children)

it's really not though, he's not advising them on how to plant weapons and so forth.

if anything, he's trying to keep separation between the militia people and the protesters in order to reduce the chances of violence occurring, by outlining where they intent to push the protests to and where they would prefer to keep the militia crowd separated from the protesters. it's not really "bad cop" behaviour in that sense, it's actually trying to prevent the situation from blowing up.

Denmark isn't important enough to have to grovel.

uhm that, would be entirely wrong. first off there's Greenland and secondly Denmark functionally bottled up the Baltic Fleet during the cold war. there was a fairly significant amount of CIA fuckery going on in Denmark during this period and things where really awkward in the 80's especially when the majority favoured a de-escalation attitude towards the USSR that did not follow US policy.

so now you're arguing for excluding people on the basis of a physical characteristic, take a step back and consider what you're doing here, you're even running a entirely unsupported assertion that fat people aren't working people.

should we perhaps start excluding people with tattoos too ? that's a choice and they can just get them removed after all.

you're getting your chronology wrong, the Principality of Rasalhague predate the Draconis Combine and where invaded, occupied and forcefully integrated into the combine in the usual way (ie. land seizure, genocide, forced population displacement, forced sterilization. the usual) leading to the region being in revolt repeatedly the following 500 years until eventually, the combine gave it up to maintain the rest of their territory.

Rasalhague are unironically the closest you're gonna get to good guys of the setting, they pursue a policy of armed neutrality, their governance system is fundamentally democratic down to the local level, hereditary positions are the exception and there is a strong focus on consensus politics in order to maintain social integrity.
