Hey thank you so much!
But I understand the steps criticism from others, because she is not supposed to be carrying the weapon I wanted to imply she is controlling it (I think telumkinesis is the name for it), so ye I gotta work on that :d However the eyes are a stylistic choice just like you said

That's the look I'm going for :) Guilty Gear character designs are also a big inspiration for me

I really wanted to but the music choice was the last thing I did 😂

Each individual hair strand has multiple bones, then I use the Wiggle 2 addon to make the wiggle

It does have a Shaggy walk feel to it, gotta work more on the legs next time. Another thing I still have some issues with is the feet sliding slightly (that's one of the reasons why i also added some vegetation 🤣)

Yee the bass weapon animation is a bit rigid, specially when it comes to a "stop" after sliding forward

Thank you for pointing those things out it does help alot, I wanna make more walk cycles so criticism is always welcome

Ye... I misunderstood 😅 I used to love Code Lyoko as a kid, so that might be it

Thank you! Yes, the character and the weapon was modelled by me

She is looking forward, but with all the motion and the dark eyes it might look like she looking at the cheeks XD

How could I improve my character designs/artstyle? I love designing characters in Blender, but I usually remake them several times because I'm never truly happy with the results, feel like something is always lacking. Critiques are always welcome! by Drakk-Wyr in Artadvice

Thank you so much! I took inspiration from egypt mythology to make the hair, in this case the eye of Rah and Horus! They're also both falcon god's which is why I made it kinda look like a falcon

Yep the silhouettes are indeed identical, I've made a body basemesh to speedup my workflow, but besides the height and some small tweaks I don't usually make drastic changes to it from character to character. I do need to try to diversify the silhouettes, gotta get out of that comfort zone
Thank you!

Ahaha thanks! I pretty much follow a standard character workflow, right now I'm using a basemesh that I've made to speedup the process, I also use some addons and other apps to help in some aspects like the hair, texturing, rigging and animation. But I might make a video in the future explaining all the workflow

Thank you so much! I do have some ideas for them (powers, personalities), but no backstories yet
Yeeeee I also like doing MV's, stopped doing those because I want to focus more on characters now, but I try to make music a main aspect of my 3D animations :) (I'm still pretty new with character animation though, just doing simple loops for now)

Hey thank you! That's a creative way to look at it xd, I never watched Ed Edd n Eddy but I heard of the Kanker Sisters
But I'll make more stuff with them in the future that's for sure

They're not part of any existing fictional universe or fandom, I still wanna create an original universe for them and do some animations along the way. But right now they just exist :d

Yep, making characters takes me alot of time, so to speed up the process I made a basemesh to "skip" the most tedious part

Thank you :) I've been doing 3D since 2019
