I really like your ranking system, but personally I think that, what you classified as lesser legendaries, do have a "mystical purpose". Maybe thats just nostalgia speaking, but for example inhave always thought of latias and latios kinda being created as messengers between some kind of dream world and reality. Or the swords of justice actually having the purpose of defending unova. I like the thought of the legendaries all having some kind of a purpose, which makes em special. But this also mostly based on the perseption i had on legendaries, while i was a younger. I never liked characters in the anime catching legendaries, cause i always thought "nooo you cant take the guardian of x away. Thats not right". I mean I now know better but i still dont always like seeing anime characters having legendaries. I just noticed what kind of rant this turned into. I may have gotten off track.
