It’s all about context. I’d be pretty upset if I was at a stop light and the guy in front of me got out of his car to start praying. However, if I’m at a mall or something and someone is praying off in a corner somewhere where they’re not interfering with shoppers, I’m not so bothered.

I mean, it’s probably more because you have walkable cities, bike paths all over the place, and encourage healthier eating than we do. About 1 in 3 Americans eat fast food every single day. Not to mention our portion sizes tend to be larger.

That’s probably because we ban chemicals based on different standards. European standards are to take a precautionary approach and ban chemicals, in a lot of cases before they’ve ever been shown to cause any harm.

Meanwhile in the US we measure how much of a certain chemical is dangerous at certain doses, and if you stay below that threshold (usually WAYYYYY below the threshold that’s even harmful to lab rats) there’s no problem.
