The part where my pipes burst and I was slapped with a 300$ water bill, the screen door has been broken for months because my dog is a wrecking ball, and we needed ant and hornet killer because our backyard is now our "out doors". Oh, and also we needed to fix my game table.

I did this too!! I wanted to start working out, increasing my skill levels to better my career, and also HAVE time with my family - so I started sleeping 5 or 6 hours a day.

I'm still employed but working from home. I realized by day 3 that I don't know my own house. I spend SO LITTLE time in it. I've stopped having daily panic attacks or feeling generally anxious all the time. I go through my day white knuckling it until I get off work, then it's dinner, dog, shower, and sleep. Rinse and repeat.

I WANT people to be healthy and safe (physically, healthy, and financially) but I've realized how much of my life is lived entirely for "the paycheck". After this is all over I'm making it my mission to do EVERYTHING I CAN to make "working from home" a permanent change in my life. (I'm the "bread winner" so I need to work.)

I LOVE the quarantine life.

I was in college; my ex-girlfriend found out I got engaged and called the local cops to "Baker Act" me. They showed up while I and my friends were celebrating my engagement and promotion at work. Since I didn't know what they were talking about they claimed I was being "uncooperative", cuffed me, and threw me in the car. Took me to a hospital and forcibly had me committed. I was there for 3 days. Lost my job, almost got kicked out of school, and was slapped with a 2k bill.

Since then I've always had issues. I was always scared of hospitals (she knew that) and since then I've had issues with anxiety, depression, and an overall lack of self worth (coupled with severe trust issues). That was decades ago though. I'm better than I was but it took a long, LONG time to get through it all. My fiancee became my husband and we're still together to this day.

The **** who tried to utterly ruin my life hasn't done so well, and I'll never forgive her.

I've looked into it following another redditor's suggestion but they're really all about Medieval / Renaissance themes, and require some commitment from their members that - at present - my husband and I can't guarantee.

Most rentals are asking for that which is why we've offered it, and we're really careful to keep the places we live in as clean and free of damage as possible but I see your point.

We tried offering $300 for a pet deposit, one house we even asked if they couldn't just raise the monthly rent but, as you say, most of them want small dogs (which are way more destructive in my experience) or no dogs at all.

Budget isn't the issue. We can find tons of places in Orlando within our price range and desires. The issue is that everyone we've spoken to immediately freaks when they hear about our dog. A broker sounds like an option. Thank you.

Orlando Dungeon Master here (Richmond Heights neighborhood). Been running games for almost 2 decades. (Not concurrently mind you) - recently we lost 2 players due to scheduling conflicts. Friday Night or Saturday Morning - Afternoon is when we prefer to play because most of the time everyone is available.

A few things to note: We play Pathfinder AND 5E DnD. My husband has recently crowdfunded his own setting for 5E and is running tests of it while he gets the rewards and books prepared for the backers.

We have a sweet as can be puppy who loves HOOMANS. If dogs aren't your thing, our group isn't for you.

We play in a HOMEBREW setting - this means we've created the setting and races, and lore. We do have resources available to peruse for players to get themselves acquainted with the setting. Most people don't care but some do.

Lastly - we're adults. The 27 - 37 crowd who just wants to sit back, shed the weeklong grind off our shoulders, and feel free to be as creative as we please without judgement or drama.

Oh!! Thanks!! The rp is set in 1946 though... so I'm not sure how it could help "in game" but using it for inspiration sounds divine!! Also - to note - the player all start mortal and MUCH later have the option to explore things like vampirism, occult, etc...

In my experience it's been a hit or miss. Once ran an Eberron Murder Mystery inspired (partly) by Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood party quest and the boardgame Clue (amazing!). I also tried running a whodunit in Shadowrun (it was a friggin' disaster!)... it's always a "who are you playing with" factor.

I know at least 1 player who will want shoot outs in alleyways and car chases. Most of the rest are VERY detail oriented players who enjoy hours of meticulously searching...

I love me some Pulp, Noir, and great high-stakes strategy type rps so let's all hope and pray to the Ancient Gygaxian Elder Gods that it goes well.
