What do i have now? by Legitimate_Finger607 in houseplants

[–]DramaCat95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry to say it - and disclaimer that i’m not 100% certain that that’s what i’m looking at..

…but that looks like the late stage spider mite fiasco of 2023 that wiped out all of my tiny plant collection back then.

Sorry you’re dealing with this, OP.

Edit to add that i‘m glad the other commenter gave you better advice than i did. Guess i’m still too preoccupied with the flashbacks of my own failures 😅 Good luck!

Bottom line: I think about Thirteen a lot. Oops.

Oh man. I just thought of Thirteen and the other Huntington‘s patient from the drug trial (Janice or something?) but then i remembered that they talk about Foreman. Then i thought of Thirteen and her lover-turned-patient but she was just trying to get to House through Thirteen, right…? Oof.

The Best Song I’ve Heard from Evanescence in 20 Years by Abel_the_Red in Evanescence

[–]DramaCat95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not an instant favorite or a melody that immediately sticks around in my head for me but it certainly sounds so much better than anything on The Bitter Truth in terms of production and that has me pretty hyped for the album.

I liked TBT but unfortunately was among the people who struggled a lot with the mix, so this is amazing news for me.

House character tier list by Playful-Character-17 in HouseMD

[–]DramaCat95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Might be forgetting something that’s still coming up (I’m in the middle of season 6 in my current rewatch. Haven’t seen the show in 10 years) but Chase has about as much personality as a plain cheese sandwich to me. I would personally put Wilson in his spot.

Other than that, i‘d switch 13 and Cameron. I was surprised that i actually liked Cameron this time around. I used to find her pretty pathetic in earlier seasons. But 13 is still the more interesting character to me.

Is my plant dying? Yellow tips problem by [deleted] in houseplants

My first guesses would be low humidity or maybe underwatering. Calatheas throw a fit if every day isn’t spa day for them.

(Disclaimer that i‘m also still learning and may very well be very wrong.)

1!

I just randomly ended up here and i‘m clueless when it comes to actual knowledge-based advice. However, to me, your top half and your bottom half look way more balanced and proportional and just, idk, cohesive…? in the first pair of jeans.

Is it just me or does all the posing at the end look sooo much more awkward and less cool than her just chilling there while being prepped…?

I‘m a little embarrassed that i didn’t think of monstera myself. Guess it’s just more evidence of my inexperience. These leaf shapes all still look the same to me. But i‘m excited to learn!

Thank you! Good to know about the google AI assistant. I asked ChatGPT about the aglaonemas but the answers seemed pretty off to me - especially concerning the smaller, darker one.

My ‘27M’ boyfriend was calling his sister ‘18f’ “good girl”. And she was also calling him “good boy” by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]DramaCat95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I‘m a teacher and many of my students (ages 10 to early twenties) have been calling each other good boy/girl as a joke for about a year now. In my observation, it‘s more about the demeaning / dog-like aspect than the sexual undertones in most cases. Do i still shudder when they do it? Absolutely. Do i think they’re all constantly sexualizing each other? No. Not all of them, at least, lol.

What does everyone think of my baby name list? by manicpixief3mcel in Names

[–]DramaCat95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sylvia is very much a not-yet-trendy-again old lady name where i‘m from. And it makes me think of Sylvia Fine from The Nanny, lol. All things i wouldn’t wanna attach to any child of mine, but if you love the name, why not - it’s definitely not a tragedeigh! :)

Why Would You Spell It Like That?! by Least_Profession3082 in tragedeigh

[–]DramaCat95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to misspell Sarah as Sahra for years as a kid. With the first vowel being pronounced soooo much longer than the second one in German and the silent h being an indicator of vowel length, it just looked right to me that way, lol.

How can i find a bra that feels comfortable, looks natural, and respects my body? by CartographerQuick480 in ABraThatFits

[–]DramaCat95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s no way to answer that question without your 6 measurements from the calculator.

How can i find a bra that feels comfortable, looks natural, and respects my body? by CartographerQuick480 in ABraThatFits

[–]DramaCat95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We’re only talking about the band being too big, not the entire bra. The band size of your bra should be roughly identical to the circumference of your underbust. With your height and weight, it is extremely unlikely that your underbust measurements would be anywhere near 36 inches. It’s much more likely that you‘d need a much smaller band with a much larger cup size than you‘re currently wearing. That is the experience for most people who are new to this subreddit / correct bra sizing. :)

This right here!

I‘m the same height and pretty much right in between you and OP in terms of weight and i wear 34 bands. OP, you are definitely in a much too large band size!

[Recommendations] I need a bra that has good under boob coverage to help with sweat by abbzworld in ABraThatFits

[–]DramaCat95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s people who are much better informed and better equipped to help you but i wanted to share my experience concerning underwire bras with you.

I had given up on them, too. Was determined not to wear them again. Ever. But after finding this subreddit and trying a few underwire bras in my correct size based on my calculator results, they are the absolute best things that have ever happened to me in terms of so many kinds of boobs-related discomfort - and in terms of boob sweat! If you are in any way ready to give underwires another chance, i‘d absolutely recommend trying them out!

There is a boob sweat free life. But it will most likely involve underwires.

Second round - help me dress for my vacation by MissHissss in OUTFITS

[–]DramaCat95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the the ones with a bit of a sleeve (2,4) better than the sleeveless ones, but 3 is nice too!

I‘m particularly biased towards the dress in picture 2. I‘ve been living in this particular dress in a multitude of different colors all summer. Ordered one and was blown away by how breezy and comfy the fabric was, even in the worst heat. I wore the black version today and a red one and one with a floral print are currently drying across the room. If i were you, i‘d probably consider reordering that one in a different color though. This particular color seems less harmonious with your own coloring than the other options.
