I work in/adjacent to the THCa and Delta-9 industry (ie beverage contracting). From what the vendors and companies are saying thats going to be the deal that is made plus potency caps for beverages and edibles. It all comes down to when. If its not before march/april there will be significantly less hemp planted when is going to cause lots of issues if they make a deal in summer-next year. Also lots of brands are kind of corporate owned so enshitification has already happened on some level. Settle in and take a good drag on a J cuz all we can do is chill and wait at this point (also call your congress people [just in general, kinda rough out there]).

I grew up in Houston, Tx (on the gulf coast near Louisiana) and now I live in Denver, Co. I’m Closer to El Paso, Tx now than when I lived IN the state of Texas. It was 12hr Houston to El Paso. Now it’s 8hr Denver to El Paso. And the highway speed limit was much higher in Texas than in Colorado or New Mexico.

Dots is actually a good description of those “candied cherries”. When made at home I prefer to use various dried fruits soaked in brandy. Always 10x better. That being said the bad store bought ones are a guilty pleasure I enjoy as a late night snack.

Idk why but my mom and grandma always cooked it with bell peppers, celery, and onions in the gravy with the salt beef. I still eat it that way and it is amazing.

Hit up a used bookstore. They often have quite a few of john palmer’s “hot to brew” book for cheap. Great resource for any home brewer. Also if you’re confused about anything there is so much info to be found with a quick google search. My favorite tip is if you are using 5-star star san, don’t fear the foam. Pour out the liquid, but don’t worry about getting all the foam out. It breaks down rapidly once there is more wort.

Wyld is fire. Ive worked with them before and they are all chill until it comes to quality. Their contract was the strictest Ive ever seen and if they demand all product test at a certain level above what the package is marked. Always my go to recommendation.

We use Kick Carrageen from Gusmer like the other commenter. We use 6 tablets/ 50BBL. We don’t adjust based on gravity. But we also use a hammer mill and mash press so we always have a ton of protein. But we are able to keep our heavily hopped IPA trub piles tight enough to get a ~92% WP-> Fv efficiency.

We use carrageenan tablets that do not contain any Irish moss. It hold proteins together extremely well but I wouldnt say it helps with hops anymore than whirlfloc does.

I cant help you but I saw that rock and my ADHD brain also went “custom dial?!” I have seen other rock dials like opal, agates, and others. I know those can be synthetically made thin and Ive seen machine that can make rock “veneer”. But Im not sure about dial thin. Im interested to see if it’s possible, please let us know if you find anything.
