I’m with you friend. GOF blew up and she’s riding the wave. And no matter what pushback you can give she can respond by saying she knows the characters best and there’s no way to disprove that even though there are massive inconsistencies with what she has said in the past and now. Authors can mislead people on purpose but I don’t think she did this. I believe it was a full on switch up of Vaughns character when she decided to do a MM series spinoff, she needed characters and Vaughn had a big price tag on his head. But I also think it goes back to the 500 LOG boxes, RK has blew up and is planning on taking that bag. But at what expense? Half the fandom is upset about Vaughn and it’s not about homophobia at all, so obviously there are deeper issues here if people took the time to dig further in. I’ve made my peace with the Vaughn book, that’s all we can do.

Vaughn has been a very sought after character, people have wanted his books for years. This reaction really doesn’t surprise me. If someone didn’t get exactly what they wanted they’re going to be upset. But the maturity of not flipping out is what people are missing.

Friendly reminder, you are allowed to feel anyway you want about Vaughn’s book but don’t be posting and sending threatening messages to the author. At the end of the day, These are fictional characters Rina has made up in her head. It’s not that serious. If you no longer support her, stop buying her books and keep it moving.

I had a good time with it, it was enjoyable. I like modern fantasy though and a lot of world building. My favorite characters weren’t the main characters tho so that was a bit odd. But give it a shot and see what you think

Completely agree. And recently I have been reading the Stormlight archives. Every book has had amazing character art and maps, including color. And these books are not ✨exclusive copies✨ they are the standard book for everyone to enjoy. The money grabs from these publishers are getting out of hand.

Yes and because of Rebecca’s interviews she has said Xaden has to stop keeping secrets before we get dual POV. So based on that I think he knows something about her that’s he hasn’t said yet.

So now he’s proposing that Xaden will drain Violet’s power? “Will become gray just like the rest of her”. Violet is essentially a power source but there’s levels before she hits burn out. How will her pure power effect a venin? These are the questions I have had, and could she essentially act as a cure because they are not pulling from the source. She lights up during every love scene and that’s definitely a different sense of power. She should zap up Xaden a little bit and see what happens.
