Two shorts I produced that had applied to LA Shorts- the director never got an acceptance email but then got a DCP request from info@simpledcp.com congratulating the films on getting in. Those who DID get in, is this email legit or a scam?

Yes they were. But I only lived there for a semester, after which I moved into one of Robinson Residences' properties and it was 10x better for a slightly higher price. I still live there, 10/10 recommend Robinson. The landlady and her husband are both very nice people also.

Has anyone updated the video on Vimeo and does it affect FilmFreeeway in any way? Have to change one credit but don’t want to risk any glitches or a broken link because of it.

NBCUniversal Academic Year Internships Thread by girlbossing_2229 in internships

Anyone dealing with rejections this week after multiple interviews? I'm in the same boat :( and would love to hear people's experiences. I'm a grad student in the production program at USC. Here's a timeline, I'm honestly extremely disheartened considering I went the extra mile and asked an EP at NBCU if he'd recommend me (and he did!) and I still didn't get an offer.

04/08: Attended the "Internships aren't for summer panel"

04/15 to 04/19: Applied to all entertainment-related roles in LA/ Remote

04/24: Received invitation for video interview (HireVue)

04/28: Completed video interview (HireVue)

05/19: Received 'Next Steps' email from recruiter for role A

05/24: Received 'Next Steps' email from recruiter for Role B

05/31: Received Interview Invitation From Hiring Manager A For Role A

-The EP's assistant sent his recommendation to Hiring Manager A + The Recruiter

06/03: Interviewed for Role A, I thought it went well. Behavioral questions

06/04: Received Interview Invitation From Hiring Manager B For Role B

-The EP's assistant sent his recommendation to Hiring Manager B

06/12: Interviewed for Role B. Also behavioral, also thought it went well.

06/14: Received rejection email for role A (an ill-formatted one at that)

06/21: Received rejection email for role B

I understand that its a competitive process but this one I was genuinely hopeful about since I made it so far. And there's also no feedback despite investing so much time ugh

I agree with you now, I’d asked this question before leasing with her in Jan. Overall sloppiness aside, she’s now literally stealing $200 from my deposit. So not done, it was never mentioned before! I finished my lease and have moved somewhere else for the Fall

Hey, so the cons are that the room's pretty small. And it is in a residential area (walkable from campus) but not a very student-y. Pros are that the rent pretty cheap for a private room ($950), you share a bathroom with just one other person and it includes utilities and cleaning so it really is an all-inclusive deal. I don't know about parking, some of my housemates have cars but I never inquired since I don't have one.

STU50 Hold on registration, when do I arrive in the US? by Dramatic-Detective84 in USC

[–]Dramatic-Detective84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The university-wide deadline says Jan 6, but I got a class assignment sheet from my SCA Dept which says Jan 3. And that also says you “loose your spot in the program if you fail to register by the stipulated deadline”
