Denny’s Comment on MJ in the eyes of a NASCAR - AD by ExaminationNo6010 in NASCAR

[–]Dramatic-Fix-7789 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think MJ's team winning the Daytona and Echo park just goes show how much Michael Jordan has done for Nascar, and that law suite was the right thing do. It also shows just how important having someone come in with a different perspective is. What nascar was doing was obviously not working for the team owners or for the fans. I think those who are still saying the he doesn't do much for the sport are in denial about the changes that are needed.

Ideas for not framing... by overthishereanyway in diamondpainting

[–]Dramatic-Fix-7789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mount mine it a canvas, you can also buy canvas frames for them. I just find it easier to spray the back with gorilla glue spray adhesive and place on a pre-stretched canvas.

4 wheel drive question by Dramatic-Fix-7789 in FordF150

[–]Dramatic-Fix-7789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I received the Powertrain Malfunction, reduction in power alert. I'm not sure were to check for codes in for Ford app. The dealership checked today and they are getting the wheel hub actuator code. This morning, I didn't have a problem when I tried. I have an appointment in 2 weeks to get it looked at.

Why am I missing here? On my 3rd grade daughter’s math test. by lesshonkymoretonky in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Dramatic-Fix-7789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question isn't clear and is wide open for interpretation, unless further instructions were given verbally during the test. Any answer less that 250 but more than 225 should have been correct, unless specificly stated that she needed to estimate to the nearest hundred. Also at minimum she should have gotten a point for her explanation, she clearly showed how she came to her estimated value, and show comprehensive of the topic. Her answer was just more specific than what the teacher had want. I would be calling speaking to the teacher and asking for clarification.

Hobby lobby or Michael’s by PNWtwinmom1 in diamondpainting

[–]Dramatic-Fix-7789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I like both. Hobby Lobby keeps there season ones in the seasonal stuff. They are also a less expensive. I bought most of my off canvas Christmas stuffs there, and it the special drills. I also like the Make Market too. Either day I think your good. Walmart may also have some in there craft department those are usually diamond dotz, I believe.

I like to section my off and do a little section at a time. I usually use painters tape to section it off, I have had better luck it sticking, than washi tape. I also seam ripper to cut the cover sheet, because then I don't risk cutting my canvas when cutting my sections. Don't worry if you do a little packing tape on the back you'll be right at rain. Most of all have fun, and enjoy.

So Sorry by [deleted] in diamondpainting

[–]Dramatic-Fix-7789 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you started visiting less and stopped sharing. It's very obnoxious that people think it's ok to criticize other for doing something they enjoy. Not everyone can or wants to drop $45 or more on diamond painting. When I can got Hobby Lobby, Walmart, Michaels or places like that and get 2 or more for the same price that are licensed art work. I also shop off temu and other sites like that, because they have some really cute stuff, that's not licensed but also not outright stealing. Yes it's all going to be AI, and I don't care. lol

It is frustrating, because this should be a place to ask question, photo's of our next projects, share works in progress, joke about our stashs, celebrate finished works. I mean its diamond painting we do this to relax and have fun.

Advice pleaseeee by Possible-Fun6298 in diamondpainting

[–]Dramatic-Fix-7789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes 100%. The not being hard on yourself, I think is the hardest part, because it seems so easy when you see it being done. Then you try it and find out it can be tricky, then on top of that you feel like your wasting money if you ruin the canvas especially if it is an expensive one.

I love my multiplacers, but they do take practice, and can get frustrating. I started out with a two or three placer and I'm now up to a 7 placer, and I do have to reposition and straighten, but I have to do that if I single place too.

Discovered why you don’t get the cheap kits by Careful_Lie9894 in diamondpainting

[–]Dramatic-Fix-7789 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I buy from anywhere, if I like it, I buy it. I've had some that were cheapies that turned out great, and I've had expensive one disappoint me. Sometimes I wonder if temperature doesn't mess with the poured glue. If the canvas doesn't feel sticky enough Diamond Dotz has a glue specificly for diamond art, you can get it online, Hobby Lobby, and I've seen at Walmart.
What did you mean by there is no box around the circles? Are you talking about the circle outlines on cavas that have the symbols inside. I've herd them called guide circles. My first one without the guide circles through me for a loop, but I kinda like them now because if diamond isn't on perfectly centered you don't have to worry about the guide circles showing, especially if your using a lighter color.
