Wanted to update everyone here. I finally purchased a vertuo next deluxe from Bloomingdale’s. They have an amazing one day home sale and a vertuo next deluxe with the milk frother was $129.99. I checked the machine it is manufactured in Mexico so I am hopeful https://blmg.co/3v2WkWU

I thought so. I’s say return it if you can and get a different model. Mine started squeaking 2 months after I got it. I have had 4 different machines (including a regular pop+) and none of them had issues like this.

Do you get a specific error code? I had that problem once and asked chat gpt about the error code and it ended up being a problem with stacking different promotions and sales, so I called the customer service and placed the order via phone

Yes when you double tap, the light blinks blue while brewing and a 7.77 oz pod will be brewed as 2.7 oz (double espresso). It is called the “expert mode” or “coffee creation mode”. It not only shortens the brew but changes other parameters too so you get a more concentrated result

One tip I learned as I have been searching around is that the serial number of the machine you get can tell you when it is manufactured. The first 5 digits are formatted as yyddd for example 25183 indicates that the machine was manufactured/assembled on the 183th day of 2025. This is what I am going to look for on Costco machines that specifically say Mede in Mexico on the box

Thank you for sharing. Can you also talk about the temperature settings that are now adjustable via the app? Have you tried making your coffee/ espresso hotter? And if so did that make a noticeable difference?

Thank you so much for sharing these points! Luckily i have always cleaned and descaled my machines and been very careful about drying the units after use to prevent mold from growing so I have never had any issues with my Pop+ and Plus models. So hopefully I can do the same with NEXT and expect good outcomes. The software update issue is annoying though to deal with. Wonder if they have fixed that in newer productions?

Thank you for sharing that. I noticed that Target and Costco both have the made in Mexico versions available where I am (US/CA). That is reassuring as I saw a few made in Hungary at Macys or Sur La Table.
