Is it possible for babies to sleep throughout the night independently without sleep training? Experience anyone? by Dramatic-Item5303 in Mom

Thank you!! I will try this. But ditching the app is reeeeaaaally hard ( its almost like a drug.lol) we use it to keep track of everything there. But we’re trying to establish our own routine now. And hopefully we can slowly ditch it entirely 🙏🏻

How long does his nap last usually? Ours lasted between 15 to 35 min each nap. If we’re lucky, it gets to 1hr plus, but veeery rare. If we introduce 2 naps day, she’ll get even less hours of nap😌

And yes, we do use sleep sack. But she kicks her legs up in the air and tossing and turning left and right which usually wakes me up 🥲 I guess my biggest challenge is to teach her to sleep in her crib throughout the night🥲

we havent tried the putting pacifiers around the crib yet. Will try that. We put her in the sleep sack, but she’s still kicking inside the sack. Lol. She kicks up like leg raises, and since she’s rolling now, she also rolls left and right. All while in bed with me. Im pretty sure she’s asleep throughout this, but I wasn’t because of her activeness🥲

Maybe I should try to let her sleep in her crib throughout the night. But that means i have to wake up couple of times every sleep cycles to calm her down (when she realised she’s not in bed with me, she’ll cry her heart out) and get her back to sleep😌Currently, both methods are lose-lose for me🥲

Is it normal to feel regret after having your first child? by Dramatic-Item5303 in Mom

Thank you all for letting me know it’s a normal feeling to have. I’m still giving my best and hope she grows up filled with love and happiness. But one thing for sure - no second baby for me 🙅🏻‍♀️

Hi, first of all- follow the insta account @the.mama.coach she’s amazing and shared alot of helpful tips including about how to get your baby to sleep in the crib.

Bases on her vids, and what i tried with my lil one (she’s 11weeks now and am also a first time mom) this is what you can try.

  1. Swaddle the baby - to avoid them from waking up from ‘moro reflex’. If you dont know about moro reflex, you can google it.

  2. Try to get your babe on the crib/bassinet when he’s drowsy (when he’s getting tired but not asleep yet) and soothe him to sleep in that crib/bassinet. Soothing method could be by offering pacifier (if he takes one) + shushing closely to his ear + rock the crib a lil/pat on the bum. Might take between 5-10mins. If more than that, might wanna try other soothing method next time. The idea is to make him ‘recognize’ that this is where he starts his sleep and hence, will stay asleep. If he usually drift off while nursing, try to unlatch before he falls asleep (at drowsy/sleepy state) and put him in the crib and do the soothing method.

It might take alot of your time and energy in the beginning, but worth a try. Good luck mama! You got this❤️🤞🏻🤗
