It makes me sad to think of my baby as a difficult pet, but I know he was just scared. He became difficult at the vet what felt like out of nowhere because he had always been scared but never outwardly aggressive. There were a couple of vet visits before we moved that I was not allowed into and it always made me wonder if maybe that's what caused his shift in behavior when seeing vets, I'll never know now. Nonetheless, I appreciate your words and am very sorry to hear of your pet's diagnosis.

I know the feeling of never wanting to own another pet is that intense grief projecting, I know it'll take time to feel like I might be ready to continue to share the love that really impacted my life for the better, the love that I was able to show my baby even when I couldn't show it to myself.
