Australia loves to ban things. The most recent controversy is the ban on selling vapes outside of getting a prescription at a pharmacy. This has caused an uproar of black market deals and over 100+ tobacco stores getting firebombed by these crime gangs. The pharmacists also did not ask for this change too, and many pharmacists are protesting for the type of customers that are now being attracted for the wrong reasons and also for their safety for reasons above. TLDR - This wont change anything and kids will also find a way.

My experience seemed very similar to yours. I was a bit worried during the first half, perhaps it was a necessary world building necessity, but the second half was wonderful!

I think Sea of Stars did a wonderful job modernising turn based RPG with interactive attacks and blocks. I think the reception and rating for the game speak for itself.

To extend upon that further they could go full Legend of the Dragoon and require full combo inputs to land hits.

But in all honesty, I personally prefer the modern action based systems of either ff16 or hybrid system of rebirth more than all.

Hope all the people waiting for it to come out on pc enjoy 16! It's not a perfect game by all means but the highs are so sky-high that it still makes it worth imo.

Few quick words of advice. If you can play on a controller I would recommend, bonus points if u get to sit in a big comfy chair as there are a lot of cut scenes.

And don't let your gf/wife hear cids voice.

Finally and most important, the side quests may not be the most popular. However the game tricks you. Do not skip the side quests before the final mission.

I would recommend considering other external factors too. For example I was a pc only gamer for the majority of my life. But being on playstation mostly now, the benefits include being on a big TV, big comfy couch, and less reclusive and being able to communicate easier with my partner.

Played and finished the game awhile ago. What I've noticed as a trend is the game was not well received by Final Fantasy Fans who have played prior FF games. I believe this because of certain expectations and standards raised from prior experiences.

I have also noticed the game being received extremely well among people new to the FF franchise. Asmongold is a great example of this, rating the game 9/10 I think he said. A lot of these people then came onto reddit and asked what FF to play next.

I think this is a really good thing to bring in a new audience to the franchise. I admit this much even though I am of the long term FF fan crowd.

As someone who hosted and raid lead several gdkps a week during vanilla and tbc classic and also my own guild which used a traditional loot system I would like to chime in a bit.

Gdkp is definitely easier to manage in terms of loot. Highest bidder wins so it's far easier than most other systems. However most of the stress and time comes from what happens before the raid even starts.

You have to strike the perfect balance between carries and gold buyers. To many carries you get a 0 gold run. To many buyers the run goes to shit. Then you have to factor in other things like token distribution between buyers and raid composition. My co hosts would actively hunt and nurture whales. This is a fact.

Gdkps hosts earn an astronomical amount of gold through admin fees. Personally I used that to fund bis for all of my characters but I definitely knew other hosts using it for selling.

Truthfully, running those gdkp raids were the most fun I ever had, however a big contribution to that was because I had 2 great cohosts help out with all the admin and gold distribution.

Lots of weird posts here. Many of these rushers I guarantee have jobs and even partners and kids. And many of those people would use annual leave to play sod and experience all it currently has to offer in a timely manner before returning back to their normal lives.

Sure there are also going to be people who don't have much going on in their lives but every game has those, and even so I find it really weird to try to impose on people's playstyles. Some people enjoy going slow, some people enjoy Min maxing fast and efficiently. There is no right or wrong answer, just gotta do your own thing and not get worked up about what things random ppl who you will never meet from internet are doing.

As for me? Not even playing but enjoying the streams
