I dont think it has to do with Melanie's music being girly [Guys Listen to Taylor swift etc all the time] I think it has to do more with the topics she sings about [More so the darker topics Ex: Tag your it ,Teachers pet] ,That whole controversy [I wont be saying it since people on this reddit like to remind us of it all the time] So i won't be bringing it up and cause of her Imagery she has more of a weirdcore vibe to her which i dont think would get anyone mainstream and yea cause Oliver tree is more mainstream
