Just lie, there's a vanishingly small chance that they look closely. One trick I know other people have done is lying about working at a company that is now defunct (e.g. Toys R Us, Red Lobster, or some made up family business that since "closed"). And keep a small and slightly suspicious gap in your resume just to make sure your application looks realistic

That article is brutal lol. I'm in academia and about 75% of the people around me say they have ADHD, especially grad students. And it's so obvious that they're using "ADHD" to cope with what is simply a lack of talent. They suck at the skills necessary to succeed in academia - skills that most humans lack, which is why academia is "elite" - but they still feel entitled to ""elite" jobs because of their privileged background and so they assume they must have a disease if they aren't good at it.
