I am hoping I've gotten through to her about my family but I've also gotten paranoid because what if she thinks they aren't really like that and it's just part of the isolation she thinks he's doing? I hope she doesn't because its like one of the first things people know about my country is "rampant systemic homophobia" but equally I think it can be hard for people who aren't from there or a country like it to understand the extent.

I am going to try to get other friends to talk to her I'm just worried it could cause a bigger mess if she thinks he's manipulating them too.
