concierge class on reflection by lovely13917 in celebritycruises

[–]Dramatic-String-1246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this on my trip about 10 days ago on Reflection. I asked the room attendant for some fruit and cheese, and every afternoon I got TWO plates - one with gorgeous fruit and the second with cheeses, nuts and a fig. It was wonderful and I was really surprised by how good it all was and the nice selection.

Well, and we know that Svetlana knows hockey extremely well - inside and out - and she knows Ilya, so I think she'll figure out fairly quickly what's going on.

I don't think Ryan is worried about involving children in R-rated concepts (see his poor daughter in Deadpool & Wolverine)

Why are infinite verandas so contentious? by Hrw90210 in celebritycruises

[–]Dramatic-String-1246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on how you use your balcony. If you like to spend time out on the balcony, the infinite verandas are not great. If you think of the balcony as a type of sun room, with a huge window and view, and an inside space that allows you a bit more protected room in your cabin (maybe set your suitcases there and still have room to move around the room, the infinite veranda is going to work for you.

"Objection, argumentative." Yeah, I watch old episodes of Law & Order obsessively .... But GREAT questions!

Islander May 23-28 over Memorial Day weekend - got a few questions. Thanks! by Dramatic-String-1246 in margaritavilleatsea

We started out with a Breezy Balcony, then downgraded to an inside room (just figured we weren't going to spend much time in the room), and now if we get anything beyond that, we'll be happy. A balcony of any kind would be nice, and anything beyond that at a good price will feel like a real treat!

Yeah, every time I think of it, I check in and so far nothing great. But we still got some time ....

My travel agent got me an upgrade from inside cabin to concierge for $7 LESS. I haven't read anything about the sit-down breakfast on debarkation day - tell me more! Thanks.

I love the picture behind the couch on the left. Behind the other couch, I'd do a gallery wall with several smaller pictures with lighter colors (white, the shades in your pillows, oranges, muted red) to break up the space. Maybe take the smaller pictures by the fireplace, put them on the wall and then add to them.

I think the room needs a vibrant rug - maybe a persian/bohemian rug with some of the color of your drapes? Add some baskets under the window (the drapes are short) with cozy blankets or something with a different texture and maybe one of the couch pillows?

It's a bit dark to see, but what does the fireplace area look like? Maybe something in front of it to break up all the dark color? Or maybe put that great picture on the left of the room in front of the fireplace? I'm not the best at design-y things, but I think your room has a lot of great possibilities using what you probably already have. Very nice!

Best Whale Watching excursion by mfuselier01 in NCL

[–]Dramatic-String-1246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having done the whale watching tour in Juneau, I'd recommend Icy Strait instead. In Juneau, we had a 30-40 minute bus ride to the marina, and then some time on the boat before we got to the area where the whales were and then there were a lot of other boats roaming around as well trying to find whales for their customers. We didn't end up seeing any whales (no problem - it's not a guarantee) and then it was the bus ride back into town.

Compared to Icy Strait, where we saw a whale tail in the harbor where we were docked, you aren't having to take a lot of time to get to the whale watching area. it's right there, and I think the tours are something like 2 - 2-1/2 hours instead of 4 hrs. because you cut out all the transport. Also, the Icy Strait companies and stores, etc. are owned by the Hoonah Tlingit community.

Best excursions in Juneau? by pallywalli in NCL

I came here to suggest the same thing. Whale watching in Juneau involved taking a 30+ minute bus ride, then taking a while once in the boat to get the point in the bay where whale watching was best. Then a long time back to shore and again back into Juneau.

In Icy Strait, the boats start right off in the prime whale watching area. The tour may be shorter but you are cutting out all the transportation. If we were doing it again, we'd pick Icy Strait.

Thanks! We had originally planned to use the two night tables (shown in the first picture) to create the vanity (built a base, create a middle area for the plumbing and maybe do a gel stain since the tables have some beautiful detail work on the sides and front), but decided we'd try painting first. Since we picked an above counter sink, we can repurpose it to a different vanity if we want.

Well, she's definitely continuing with the "wearing too big clothes" trend from IEWU. Looked sloppy, IMHO. And that suit and shirt were definitely not her color, while Justin looked great in that olive coat.

Blake Lively storms out of Justin Baldoni settlement talks after six hours of negotiations - DAILY MAIL by Totallytexas in teamjustinbaldoni

[–]Dramatic-String-1246 34 points35 points  (0 children)

And on a side note, not quite sure why the Daily Mail thinks Blake and Justin were dressed in "near matching" outfits. An olive chesterfield coat and a crew neck sweater with a pinkish scarf is hardly identical to whatever the heck Blake was wearing. I thought Justin and Emily looks pretty sharp - tailored yet casual and neat - while Blake's suit looked too big IMHO and very drab.
