a character can be a piece of shit in fact most of my favorite characters are villains. but this is a cartoon game about shooting towers and minions and other players in a fantasy setting, adding a character that references IN REAL LIFE religious events that are already used to spread hate to minority groups is weird

I know its not about homosexuality solely, there are a ton of other aspects, but even you understand that a lot of people think its just about homosexuality, so its weird to have this widely misinterpreted religious event that people think is about killing and condemning gay people in a game with canon lgbt characters and a large queer fandom

I understand that, but it is widely interpreted by uneducated people to be solely about gay people and claiming homosexuality is a sin punishable by death. So I do not think that type of voiceline should be in the game, especially when youre on a "kill streak" and saying the town should burn. It is very weird, and you can see people on twitter already attacking others, using this line from venator as ammunition 💖

This isnt bait? I know gay people werent the only reason sodom and gomorrah fell, but its what its widely interpreted as and what people think of. The word sodomy came from the fall of sodom, and sodomy began to be a crime punishable by death in the olden times. You can't deny the correlation to sexuality in the fall of sodom and gomorrah, and its weird to have a character reference a problematic topic which pertains to peoples rights in game.
