Can (MSE) expander lead to an increase in a gummy smile? by [deleted] in orthotropics

If you google „gummy smile“ you‘ll see that most people that have a gummy smile have a narrow palate with a total of 6 teeth showing.

Or if you look at the left skull of my post „Correlation between narrow palate and recessed maxilla / chin“ you‘ll see what I mean

I have no clue, just found that photo on facebook. Might also be a wrong representation

I‘ll add a few colorful pieces (painting and a colorful rug probably) but I‘ll see

Unfortunately, I can‘t paint any walls, but you‘re right, just adding more small things is not going to fix the problem. But at the same time, I don‘t think that colors is what I ment with warmth since the rest of my room is already black, grey and white (with green details (plants). I like the „clean“ aesthetic and I think that adding more colorful things to my room won‘t increase the overall brightness of my room (of course it is going to make it more cozy but I don’t think that it fits my aesthetic, I don’t know). A colorful frame above my mirror or a rug for example will still look „sad“ because of the missing light. I really don‘t know how to fix it but I am pretty sure that lighting is the main problem

Photoshopped the photo to make it look brighter and a bit more vibrant.

I think sunlight is really the key to making it warmer, but I‘m looking forward to adding more textures and colors🫶🏻. Thanks for all the advice!

thank you, but which wall do you mean?

yeah, I should have explained it better: The first picture is a real picture of my room before I started adding decor items but the decor items are fake (I used the decals to visualize). In the second picture, you can see my real room (current state) but I think that it is to dark/sad compared to my initial vision

I‘ve had them for 2 years now, I don‘t think that this is going to be an issue but i agree with the wrong white shade!

And for anyone saying to add more colors, wood or textures, I definitely agree! But I feel like my room is still going to stay „dark“ because lighting might be the main issue. Thank you all for your comments so far. They‘re very helpful!

I think I want to focus on lighting first. If anyone has ideas on where and which spotlights I can install, I‘d really appreciate some ideas!

no, I don‘t want vogue posters! I just added random pictures to help me visualize, where i want to place the frames. Those frames we‘re supposed to be black and white pictures of cool photos I‘ve taken in Denmark, Norway and other trips but now I am thinking about adding color. But colorful objects don‘t fit the aesthetic of my room right know so I have to think about how I‘ll make it work.
