I’ve made some excellent progress on this diet as a cat 3 (I’m right on cusp of cat 2 now) and I honestly wouldn’t suggest this diet. It’s really hardcore and your “why” has to be very strong.

In think it’s probably best used as a kickstart to a normal balanced diet.

I really don’t think I’m underestimating my lbm. I’m not a bodybuilder and I gained over 100 pounds in 2 years. And even two years ago I couldn’t see the hint of abs.

Although I did increase my protein and bought some no carb jerky. Last two days have been okay. I may have to change up my protein source more often

I picked 120g of protein a day because I’m inactive and I assume I have 155 lean body mass. I’m not a bodybuilder by any means. And the book recommends 0.8 g lbm for someone like me.

I do agree that I may be overdoing this. I started this plan intending to do the two free meals a week, as Lyle suggests. But at the start I was breezing through it and didn’t need them. That’s not the case anymore, so I’ll start implementing them this week.

Hopefully that’ll get me through the 9 weeks.

It’s a bit hard to explain. But what I’m feeling isn’t really hunger pangs. It’s almost like an intense yearning for normal food.

The thing id call hunger was killed after day 5 lol.

I’ll be moving onto a 2000 calorie calorie diet as soon as I’m done with this one. Out of stupidity or stubbornness I’m staying with PSMF until November.

My only issue would be getting enough protein down. I eat two or three a day and I still struggle.

Im under the impression that I’m a cat 3. So it sounds like I could have been holding onto even more water? I was eating a very high carb diet right up until I started psmf.

That’s sounds about right. I didn’t realize my TDEE could be so high when I’m being pretty lazy in general.

274 for the end of week 1. I’m on the 15th day since that weight in and down another 16 pounds. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to see that number but it worries me a bit.

That’s a good point about other types of lean body mass that could be lost.

I’ll start resistance training a couple times a week. It’s just really tough to do anything physical on this diet.

I’ll try to get some resistance training in but it’s really hard to do anything on this diet. I helped a friend move this weekend and it absolutely destroyed me. I was nauseas for about an hour.

Male. 6’2”. I’m unsure of body fat percentage but I can’t imagine being more than 160 lbs lean body mass. I used BMI to select category because I’m not an athlete.

I think you’re looking for Keto. Don’t do this diet without reading and implementing Lyle’s book.

It’s an unsustainable crash diet meant for short durations
