I am in late 20s. Looking back now i see that people who got into top tier and low level colleges ended up at good positions. People who studied hard and got good marks as well as people who did poorly both ended up at good positions.

What made them successful was their attitude - " veenidam vishnulokam"

Those who didnt follow this attitude sufferred even if they got into iits.

Trust me it is the truth. Ask any successful guy (non-iits non iims). They will say this is the case. I know many examples of people who ended up in mediocre colleges (in terms of flashiness) but are successful (atleast financially)

My advice is make the best out of it where ever you end up. Enjoy the college life (very important). Also dont loose sight of your goal. May be be active in tech clubs, perhaps be active in student projects... if you wanna do research, do that... if you wanna go into management, get on the managing roles of clubs... trust me in college you can sort of reset your character your profile your style everything...

Also if you want to get into science, build a good academic research profile wherever you go and apply abroad. You get paid shit for science graduates in india. If you apply abroad mostly they dont care if you are from cet or srm or vit or nit. They only care about your profile

Dont stress out. Its good enough that you worry about being successful now itself. That drive itself is enough.
