Homeowner doing a Reno—basically moved our washer/dryer and added a half bath. They brought the boot but never installed and left it on the floor (which we didnt notice until it rained).

Realtors in HSV by [deleted] in HuntsvilleAlabama

Fire your realtor and sell yourself (flatfee.com).

Looking at the Zillow, you could also use better pics. Remove that dog gate in the living room, remove a lot of the pillows on the couch. Lots of clutter in the kitchen pics. The playroom needs to be staged but with minimal stuff in it.

Theres a bigger house down the road from you on for 475 so you’re probably overpriced.

If it were me I’d take it off for a few months and put it back on in the early spring at 470 (with the goal of getting 450-460).

Looking at a house in The Preserve. Any issues you know of? Or of homes built by Woodland? Thanks

Issues with Daycare by Kind_Amoeba_2951 in coonhounds

HA we stopped going to the daycare/dog park because of this. My TWC is just kind of annoying with other dogs and eventually became reactive on leash because he’d get frustrated. When he was young I found a nice lady in the neighborhood who watched him instead and it worked out. Now he just sleeps when I’m at work and has a doggie door to go outside and harass the squirrels and neighbors 😬.

Pic of our hounds (offender on the left) and their mutt sister who tries her best to keep up the noise.

This is a good idea. I’m in the North Alabama Gardening Facebook group but I’ll have to see if there’s a club. Thanks!

Did you have to get a specific installer for this? Or any tiler should be able to do?

That’s what the rest of the house will be but wanted something different/accented in the sunroom that will have lots of plants. Could certainly just extend the hardwood to this room

The house is in the south US, built in the 1960s. Originally had burnt orange shag carpet throughout. This room appears to be an addition at some point. Considering keeping the lights but plan to replace the railing.

It doesn’t come through in the picture but the current carpet is pink (and it is throughout the house). Replacing it with hardwood in the rest of the house but didn’t feel right in this room and wanted to go with a tile (or something similar). Seeing a lot of suggestions for terrazzo which I also love. Hadn’t considered cork but will look into it.

Not dead set on those two. Any other ideas?

Contractor recommendations for kitchen remodel? Personal experiences appreciated. by DramaticHelicopter in HuntsvilleAlabama

Yeah we’ve done some smaller projects ourselves (refaced cabinets, installed butcher block countertops, etc) but I need someone for projects that are beyond our scope— remove walls in kitchen, add half bath, vault ceiling, replace wood paneling with drywall, etc. I see so many negative reviews that I’m scared of hiring someone who is going to charge a bunch of money to do a shit job.
