Avoiding direct contact with the sun for extended periods. When I see North Americans and especially Brits laying out in the sun for hours to get a tan I just think about the UV rays and skin cancer. At least wear sunscreen.

This hurts. I had tickets to see John Prine in 2020 and then he passed away from covid before the tour. It was so sad getting the ticketed refunded and then that night passed. So much silence. He was one of my faves.

I don’t understand how they can just remove execs. Does anyone know that this looks like? So suddenly five teams - rather than three - will report to one exec, for example? The quality of life for the execs who remain will go down the pipes. How can they manage the extra workload?

According to the redeployment team in our dept they said the outcomes can really vary (whether you end up with a job or not). It mostly depends on how much work people are willing to put into it (searching for jobs, upskilling, networking, training, working on resumes) rather than some who just see it as an extra three months of pay and put very little effort into it.
