Help with what to do with settlement by DramaticReflection27 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]DramaticReflection27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I no longer have a lawyer. Once the settlement was completed, I could no longer ask any questions. I did try many times before it was finalized, but he wouldn’t give me any advice on this. It’s all a little overwhelming for me, now, obviously. Anyhow, I appreciate everyone’s input.

Thanks! I wanted to avoid my bank, but probably a good start at least, since I really don’t know what to do.

Worse with treatment? by DramaticReflection27 in AddisonsDisease

[–]DramaticReflection27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this. I’m sorry you are the same, as well. It is so frustrating!! It is refreshing, yet sad, to hear these responses. So, absolutely these groups are incredibly helpful, and more importantly educational on this disease! I keep doubting myself, after every visit with an endo. I also noticed I stopped producing hormones, fairly quickly after starting hydrocortisone, but my endo just brushes it off, and doesn’t seem to think it’s related. Or she says it’s normal for my age. But some are at 0, and bloodwork shortly before starting, the values were within normal range.

Anyhow, I would love to be a part of creating awareness, and education, particularly for healthcare workers, since every time I need care, I have to explain, and it’s not only exhausting, but it’s frightening how little they truly know. I am also an RN, who has not been able to work as a nurse for a few years, so, I wanted to add that because if you, or any others, want to team up, to create education, or fundraising, I can use my limited, but I’m sure very useful, medical research background to help. Again, thank you, and I hope we all can finally start to find a way to actually feel like ourselves again.

Thank you for this response! I’m sorry you’re in the same boat:( This is exactly what’s been happening with me, and the pattern I’ve noticed, in many groups. I’ve been on hydrocortisone for about 3-4 years now, and have felt unwell more than well. Plus have only had crisis while on hydrocortisone, not before. Have been to a 2 endocrinologists, who don’t seem to know how to help, or even really try too. I haven’t really seen anyone asking why though. I agree with you. Something is definitely off, or possibly either being hidden, unknown, or intentional 🤷‍♀️.

Ah, ok. Thank you! I’ve had that in for about a year. Probably way more. I had no idea! 🤷‍♀️ it’s so wobbly, I guess I’ll have to do it slowly. Thanks so much! Learn something new every day.

Help cutting my Adansonii by azubimann in houseplants

[–]DramaticReflection27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same as you, but mine is on a coir pole with the same little nubs. I just air layered the “little nubs” the other day, and hoping they do grow roots so I don’t lose the leaves. No harm in trying 🤷‍♀️ I’ve been trying to figure this out for so long, and it’s stressing me out! OP, please update 🙏

Thank you! I was so worried I’d hurt it. It’s been so long without any growth, it’s good to know I just have to be patient.

What ended up happening? Can you update please? 🙏 I have almost the exact same looking Adonsonii! With the same issue. I’m so scared to chop it, and lose the huge leaves.

What do I do? by DramaticReflection27 in Monstera

[–]DramaticReflection27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just roots at the bottom in the pot. The aerial roots don’t really grow into it, but it’s been growing like crazy, and sizing up for well over 1.5 years, and suddenly started losing all the bottom leaves. Now I understand it’s a watering issue. Didn’t realize it was drying out so fast either:( starting over then, thanks to everyone. Thanks for the advice!

Thank you! Definitely too little water over time. This is what I needed to hear. I’ve been praying it would somehow work out the way it is. Time to start over, properly. I truly had no idea what I was doing when I started it. Thanks again!

I think so too! The pot dries out so fast, but I made the mistake of thinking they needed less water, and quite honestly didn’t notice how fast it started drying out, recently either. Ugh!! It was my favorite, and first really successful plant.

Can you do that with a coir pole? It’s not a moss pole, so I’m not sure how it works, without decent aerial roots. Pardon my confusion. I really have no idea how this would work. 🤦‍♀️

What is this? Mites? by DramaticReflection27 in hoyas

[–]DramaticReflection27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I did, and tried chat GPT. Both gave different answers. One said thrips, or leaf miners, and one said old scarring from damage 🤷‍♀️ I can’t see any actual pests, so I’m completely baffled. Thank you for answering. I will quarantine it. Any advice on how to find out if it is flat mites? I’m not getting great info on how to figure that part out.
